Here is a summary of my problems since financing a Dell computer through Dell Financial Services:

After purchasing the computer, 1 month and a half later I received my first bill, with a late charge threatening to report me to a collection agency. I called and indicated that this was my first bill, paid it via phone. They did waive that late charge.

It has been five months since that time and I have had late charges every month. The last two months I mailed the payment first thing in the morning after receiving the bills, but still received the late charges.

I called to argue this again with D.F.S. This would be the third time I called to argue late charges, and each time the customer service representative was extremely difficult to communicate with because all three had very poor English speaking skills. The customer service rep indicated that the late fees were applied because the payments were all late. I indicated that it can not be possible because all were mailed on time but she did not budge. She did agree to waive ONE late charge because I was such a "good customer".

I expressed that this is completely unacceptable because I am not going to be paying late charges every month when they are simply unwarranted. Since purchasing the computer, I paid over $600 worth of payments (including late charges), and yet my bill is still MORE than what I originally financed.

I made my current payment via phone for a small fee so that at least technically I should not receive a late charge. I am still waiting for my statement to see if this will indeed be the first month I do not receive a late charge.

I also signed up for the auto-pay system, agreeing to have $60 withdrawn from my account each month. I checked my bank balance this evening only to find they transfered $60 from my bank account THREE TIMES this month but my online transaction history on www.dellfinancial.com only indicates ONE $60 payment.

I am so completely disgusted, and quite angry with Dell Financial. I have been swindled out of multiple late fees and will have to wake up early again tomorrow to argue these multiple withdrawls from my checking account.

Also, they're customer service line is only open during "normal business hours" and still is difficult to reach.

Dell Financial, and the customer service reps I have dealt with are simply criminals. I have been researching and have found that many others are having these same problems. If a class-action suit should ever be filed, I would like to be notified.
