Dermitage's FREE TRIAL is anything but free. On the web page where they tout the product's amazing results they offer a FREE TRIAL. There is a very very small astrick between FREE and TRIAL and after closely scanning the page I located an even smaller astrick stating that S/P may apply. When I received product I was surprized at the size of the FREE product but there was no shipping order or invoice of any type included. I found out that my FREE order had cost me over $70 when I checked my bank statement. I used my debit card to pay the shipping on my FREE TRIAL and then Dermitage without notification or approval removed $70 from my account. I went back to the web site and found that if you looked at the bottom of the first page there was a link for terms and conditions. This link is not on the page where you fill out the info for your FREE TRIAL. My financial situation is such that this theft of $70 is causing me great financial hardship. I DO NOT WANT THIS PRODUCT I WANT MY $70 BACK Has anyone else had any dealings with this company?

Sabotage Dermitage Comp Use EBAY

AUTHOR: njjrn52 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 28, 2010

I stumbled upon the Demitage "Free Trial" offer myself. Being the skeptic that I am,as well as being "taken" by promotions like this in the past,I decided to check "Ripoff Report" site. Boy, am I glad I did! The only way I may try this product is to pursue it on Ebay. This way, you can ponder your own prices, bid on your terms and receive the product WITHOUT the expensive strings attached! This is what I plan to do. Hope this helps!

Demaitage personnel do NOT help

AUTHOR: Jan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 29, 2009

I, too, was scammed by Dermitage. When I called them they refused to give my money back, they also charge an additional charge for what they call *California taxes*-I am in Iowa. I told them I did NOT like the product, it was actually bad for my skin. The *free trial* for shipping costs is nothing more than a scam to get your credit card number and extract as much money form your account before you find out how to contact them!

Misleading advertising is the name of their game!

taking your money is their only aim!

When it says to read the Terms and Conditions that is something to do. However, even after reading and after listening to a friend of mine, who used to work for a company that handled Dermitage accounts, the Free part is anything but. Think about it all. If someone advertises something for FREE FREE FREE but they still want you to pay six dollars, THAT AUTOMATICALLY MEANS ITS NOT FREE. But furthermore with the Dermitage company, my friend informed me that even accounts where customers cancel their accounts, customer service reps working for my friends old company don't rightfully get the accounts canceled so customers were then charged. And more than just customer service representative mistakes, Dermitage's new system is not error proof and customers who rightfully canceled accounts two years ago are being charged "on accident" by the automatic billing system for hundreds of dollars. The system refunds but it takes a week maybe two weeks at a time for that refund to post back to customer bank accounts or credit card accounts which is causing the overdraft incidents and credit incidents. So the Free Trial period is free for just 14 days. After 14 days its no longer a free trial and you're automatically billed. But my spiel is this.....Dermitage is sneaky in the way they handle things. They word their Terms and Conditions in sneaky manners after putting FREE FREE FREE all over the website. So bottom line consumers, READ EVERYTHING ON THE WEBSITE BEFORE INPUTTING CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION. YOU WILL GET BAITED WITH THE FREE TRIAL BUT SWITCHED ON IF YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND YOU'D BE CHARGED. THERE'S NO NOTIFICATION ON HOW LONG OR WHEN YOUR TRIAL PERIOD WILL END SO THEY DO THAT TO HAVE YOU ASSUME YOUR TRIAL PERIOD IS LONGER THEN WHAT IT REALLY IS. BUYER BEWARE!

You should have read the T's and C's

AUTHOR: Laura - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 17, 2008

On the Dermitage customer saying this product is a rip off and got billed, they should have simply read the T's and C's. They are the foolish one's for not doing so before submitting the CC information. They indeed DID recieve the product FREE and only got billed if they did NOT cancel within the x amount of time they had ( I believe 30 days). Before they submitted their CC information they could have jotted down the Customer Service number to cancel if that was their intention (recieving free product and no other shippments).
I think that the customer should not complain until they do their dilengences first on researching what they are subscribing to.

I agree that Dermitage lies when they say free

AUTHOR: Billy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 09, 2007

I did the same thing as the original complaintant Mimi and ordered the trial size and paid $2.97 for a very small sample that wouldn't last anyone 30 days. I was not happy with the product because it did not do what they said it would. I never ordered any more of their product but then amost two months later my credit card was billed for $69.95 for the product which I never received.

When I contacted the companY I was told that I agreed to be charged $69.95 for the first shipment of the sample. I did not and would not ever agree to any such thing. Their answer then was that it was on their website where I clicked and agreed to it. The information they said was on the first page is not there but on the next page in letters so small you almost need a magnifying glass to read it.

I then filed a complaint with my credit card so we will see what they do. I also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and hope they will do something. Stay away from this company as they are a total ripoff and will take money they are not entitled to.
