Leased a 2013 Nissan LEAF from Desert Nissan on Sahara on Friday, 04/05.
Car has braking issues that are very dangerous - Inconsistent braking and dragging brakes.
On several occasions, I had to use emergency lanes to stop the car, shut it off and restart it to make the car go over 25 MPH.  Had the car over a weekend and had it back into the dealership on Monday morning (04/08).

Dealership provided a loaner from 4/8 through 4/25 when they said it is fixed.  It's been 3 weeks and for the past two I have been asking for a different car.  No deal.  Returned all keys and the loaner to the dealership on 4/26.

Went to talk to the General Manager, who is possibly the rudest man on the planet. He says I own the car.  I maintain that I do not want THAT car but will take a different one.  If I need to, I'll hire a lawyer, but I'd rather settle this without one.  I dealt in good faith, waited a ridiculous amount of time for repairs (they told me they had to get a specialist from Japan to fix it) and this.

Another dealership told me it isn't hard to undo a deal, but Desert Nissan is completely unwilling.

Nissan Leaf, the question is. Is it a unsafe car to drive? You be the judge........

POSTED: Sunday, April 28, 2013

I am a firm believer that when a manufacturer comes out with a new car that's completely new technology consumers need to wait before they buy one. If it's new technology you have no idea how reliable it's going to be. Americans seem to have a short term memory. Remember the Chevrolet EV1. That car didn't live very long. Think of the Chevrolet volt now they're having problems with that car. People need to rethink their thinking about go Green. I think they need to put those grosgrain vehicles on a race track and do some serious testing on those cars before they agreed to sell them to the public.

If you really want to get some attention. what you can do is go get the car back go get you some spray paint and spray paint on both sides of the car go green Nissan leafs suck. Take pictures of the car in front of a Nissan dealership and post those pictures on your Facebook. If Nissan sees that you're unhappy with the car and you're using both sides of the car as a billboard with spray paint they will want to buy that car back from you. That is a quick and easy way to get rid of that car.

People need to stop thinking about go Green for a few years the technology in the automotive industry does not work. Look at Tesla motors they are having problems with their go green cars that cost over hundred thousand dollars. Rolls Royce built a phantom that was a all electric car, and guess what that car cost over $400,000 and they stopped producing that because it didn't work.

Go out and buy a gasoline powered car and enjoy it. We need to let the auto manufacturers use their employees as guinea pigs on these GO GREEN CARS before the American public start buying these go green cars they simply do not work. You do have a way to get rid of that card let me explain the steps.

You must be willing to do the following if you want to get away from that car Before it causes you any more headaches and trust me it will.

Step one go to Home Depot and buy yourself two cans of spray paint

Step two. Spray paint on both sides of the car in the rear window might go green Nissan leaf sucks toot your horn if you agree !!

Step three. Go park it in front of a Nissan store sign up close by the street and take pictures of it next to a Nissan sign., in front of the Nissan dealerships sign that's up close to the steet.

Step four. Create a special email address something like. My Nissan leaf sucks at Gmail.com something like that

Step five post a picture of that car that picture that you've taken all over the Internet and attach your email address next to the photo. Post pictures everywhere your Facebook your twitter everything.

Step six. Create a special Facebook page dedicated to your leaf that sucks. Post a homepage photo that reveals your car with the spray paint on both sides. Get as many people as you possibly can to like your Facebook page. Post your email address that you created just for this purpose as well as a phone number. Post everything on a pages that you can delete if needed in the future.

People need to wake up go green cars simply do not work. I believe that that manufacturers are building these cars and using the public as guinea pigs. you're paying way more than these cars are actually worth. You are being used as the TEST guinea pig. If you are being used as the guinea pig to test these cars, The automotive manufacturers should be Willing to let you use the car for free or Sell them at a drastically discounted price way below the sticker price.

Please, I beg the American car buyer do your homework way before you even think about buying a go Green car do your research think ahead plan ahead don't be used as a guinea pig when it comes to new technology. We need to let the manufactures of these go green products use their employees as guinea pigs for at least a year before they think about selling these cars to the public.

I say you should be able to use these cars for at least a year for free as a guinea pig and then when it stops working you can get out lock the car and walkaway from it. And know that you did not buy into something that didn't work

Please, America wake up and do your homework before you sign the dotted line. Come to www.ripoffreport.com on a Regular basis and do your research so you do not get taken advantage of. Email your friends tell them about www.ripoffreport.com Is here to help you be an informed consumer so you are not taken advantage of, tell your friends about this great website protect your friends and family.

Trust me if you were to use some spray paint on both sides of that car telling the world that you feel your Nissan leaf sucks canal water I guarantee you Nissan will be looking at your actions very hard. TRUST ME a can of spray paint is a cheap way to market your feelings. You just need to get a photo of that car with the spray paint on the sides of it next to a Nissan sign. Build a Facebook page dedicated to your goal of getting rid of that car.
