here is what you should have gotten. a dual tuner dvr 625 unless you wanted an hd dvr. then it would have been a vip 722 . the dual tuner is 2 receivers in one. one tv would be setup on channel 3 or 4 and the second tv would be setup on channel 60. if the phone line is connected to the receiver it would save you 5.00 dollars a month on the second half of the dual tuner. the ethernet cables are for connecting the receivers to a high speed internet router. the installer would use the ethernet cables instead of the phone line. only if the customer didnt have a home phone . or if the customer wanted connected to the router. the installer would had to have run a cat 5 cable from the receiver to were the router was. i dont know what he could have connected them too. i love the dual tuner cuz i can connect them in such a way. that the customer can watch both channel 3 and 60 in either room. plus you can replace the ir remote with one that is uhf. then you can control the tv 1 receiver form anywhere.just like the tv 2 remote. i got a customer that i installed a vip 722 and a dp 322 in the living room. but she can go anywhere in her house and watch all 4 receivers from any tv. plus she can control them from anywhere if she takes the right remote with her. if her husband wanted to watch 4 sporting events he could do so from one tv. she might have something to say about that. on your old receivers . dish network would have given you 5.00 dollars credit on your account for each one. plus sent you the shipping boxes at no charge to you. i dont know the whole situation but someone should have told you about the dvr 625 or the vip 722........i would call someone and ask them why you didnt get that receiver .
