My transmission blew out in my 2000 BMW and the repair cost were more than the car was worth so I decided I needed to get a new car. Yes I have pretty bad credit from past financial troubles so my options were limited. i was looking for a later model VW either a Jetta or GtI. i was pre approved online for Road Loans so I went to a dealership and they wouldn't deal with Road Loans and wanted $3000 down on a 15K car which I didn't have. Same story at CarMax so I decided to check out DriveTime. They had what I was looking for and it was even a special edition that had limited production and great reviews when it came out. Only problem was the price was about 3.5K above all published market price guides.

I told them about my Road Loans approval and the sales guy said they would match my Road Loans offer and to just bring in the print out. i knew what I was getting into and actually read about 100 of these rio off reports while I was at the dealership.

went home and pulled up my Road Loans print out, opened up Photoshop and gave my self a 16% Apr with a $700 down payment and emailed it along with all the other crap they wanted to the sales dud.  Went in the next day and spent about 3 hours going through all their red tape and verification BS. Finally I was approved and ready to go.  first they tried to set me up for bi weekly payments. WTF?  Is this a payday loan or a car note?  I told that was BS so they went back and re did all the papers for a monthly payment. I paid my down payment in cash then was taken to a special desk to sign my contract. I had to agree to have the contract signing recorded and video tapped. Another big WTF?  Who does this?  At this point I was exhausted mentally and hungry after spending over 4 hours dealing with all the BS so even though I didn't agree with some of the contract terms I said screw it I need a car. This guy went through he contract spiel so fast and he  got really agitated when I stopped him so I could actually read for my self. I was being forced to buy an $800 GPS that was pre installed so they could recover the car if I defaulted. Another WTF? They expect you to fail. The contract said it was an optional add on. I didn't have enouh fight in me to argue so I signed.  Next up the $3000 warrantee which was also "optional" I didn't fight this one because there is a 30 day cancellation clause.

Finally i had whad the keys and almost out the door hen I had to get an orientation on how to log in to the website. I'm a computer programmer lol so I told they guy I would figure it out on my own but they insisted on setting up my username and password. Then they guy told me I had to fill out my payment info and set up auto pay. I refused and the punk refused to give me my keys. I was picking this battle and after gettig the GM involved they gave up on the auto pay enrollment.

I got got a really nice car at a really bad price but I was happy. About a week later I pulled out the contract and the info on canceling he warrantee and the cancellation page that is required to be mailed in to cancel was missing from the contract. It states "The cancellation form on the following page must be mailed in". No following page and Avirixx says the dealer has to provide it and DriveTime says I can get it from Avirix. Now I'm past the 30 days so they got one over on me so I guess the score is now 1 to 1.

3 months now and I still haven't got my License plates and finally get told I have to bring the car in for a new inspection sticker because the DMV noticed no emmisions tests were done with the inspection it was sold with.  So I go I and have to hand over my key so some guy van drive it to a shop to get inspecte.  So whiile waiting for the guy to come back with my car I decided to set up my GPS service they made me pay for and tracked the guy driving my car 30 miles over the speed limit. I haven't decided to call them out on it yet. Maybe when my plates finally arrive Ill show them he GPS data.

Bottom Line is this organization is nothing more than a sleazy predatory lendor praying on uneducated minorities who dont know what they are getting into. I did my research and knew I was getting screwed but at least I got one over on them. And if I ever run into financial trouble the GPS is getting disconnecte.  (Ground wire is bolted into the fuse box)

Crime..

Whats even better is that you admit you have commited a form of fraud. And you do this online. So you start off by scamming them and they are the bad guys. How does that work exactly?? You went in planning on scamming them. If your lucky, they dont find your post. It wouldnt take much on their part to find out WHO you are and a nice little court order can verify your identity. You admit to fraud on a media outlet so you will have to answer for this at some point. I would hate to be you.

You go right ahead and prove to them WHY they took all those extra steps to prove you did sign the paperwork. Go ahead and cut that wire. That way you can be both punished for your shady activities and your being a deadbeat. You will be out a car and all the money you have put into it. DOIT!!!!!

Look in the mirror

You talk about how they are "scam artist" but the only SCAM artist in this appears to be you.

First of all you already have screwed up your credit, probably by "stiffing" other lenders in the past.  So you already have a history of not fulfilling your legal obligations.

We then get into the new loan where you have admitted that you changed the terms in order to try and get another company to give you a better rate.  Then at the very end you basically say that you are going to default on this loan and to "show them" you are going to cut the GPS so they can't find it.

Well let's just go over a few other points.  You wonder why they video tape the entire transaction and signing of the documents.  That is because they deal with subprime deadbeats all day long.  They also know if they didn't do that they would have these people come back and say they never signed the documents.  Which based on your history is most likely EXACTLY what you would have done.

But as it was mentioned..why wait?  Why wait to "call them out" on your GPS "data" why not go down there right now and show them.  Oh and while you are there why not let them that you are going to just go ahead and disconnect the GPS device.

I think I know why you're such a loser having to deal with a subprime loan...

"went home and pulled up my Road Loans print out, opened up Photoshop and gave my self a 16% Apr with a $700 down payment and emailed it along with all the other crap they wanted to the sales dud."

Sounds almost like fraud to me..but hey you don't really know any better...do you?

"I was being forced to buy an $800 GPS that was pre installed so they could recover the car if I defaulted. Another WTF? They expect you to fail. The contract said it was an optional add on"

Yep, you were "forced to buy the GPS" and WTF, they figured you'd default, which you almost certainly will.  It was only an "optional add on" if you had good credit, which of course, you didn't.

"Bottom Line is this organization is nothing more than a sleazy predatory lendor praying on uneducated minorities who dont know what they are getting into"

Is this a self description?  I also doubt they were praying on or for you, but maybe PREYING on YOU. You're too much.

BTW, I too hope you disconnect the GPS at the first missed payment..should get you repoed anyway.  You have all the makings of a FIRST CLASS IDIOT.

Just disconnect it now.  That'll show them not to mess with you.  Why wait?
