I was online searching for a web-based authentic credit card company when a pop-up window acclaimed to be a visa offer appeared. I entered my information and waited for a visa card to arrive.

I never received a card. Instead, a week later, I found a charge of $159.95 on my bank statement while I was conducting a routine check on my bank account online. I was stunned because I never authorized the amount of $159.95. I immediately called my bank to search the charge for me because I was unable to identify the company who charged my account. A bank representative informed me that it was from a company entitled EDP reporting. I informed the bank that I did authorize an offer for a real or authentic credit card and I did not imagine their annual fees would ever in a million years be $159.95.

Next, I contacted the phone number the bank representative provided me 1-800-430-0672. I waited over an hour and no one responded. The voice mail referred me to a web address: edpreporting.com. I sent an e-mail and requested clarification.

Two days, later, Valeska, R., Customer Service Representative replied stating that she has found my online order which is proof of authorization for the purchase of the prepaid debit card. She further stated that I will be receiving the prepaid debit card in the mail within 15 to 20 business days from the date the money is received.

Angrily, I responded to Valeska, R. of Edrepiorting.com that the online offer from her company did not state a "debit card". In fact, I already possess multiple debit cards. I was interested in obtaining an authentic or real credit card. Credit card companies usually charge a $19.95 to $29.95 fee, not $159.95. Additionally, I requested that I receive a refund of the $159.95 and cancel my order.

In turn, Valeska, R. of EDPreporting.com replied and expressed to me that "the sites where orders are submitted are fully regulated, monitored and compliant to meet all standards. As stated on the order, I had 3 business days to cancel."

This is a real rip-off. I had no time to cancel because, according to Valeska's report, the order was placed on June 25, 2006. The charge of $159.95 appeared on July 6, 2006 in my bank account. And I disputed the charge immediately on the same day the charge appeared on my bank account. I am really appalled by such greed and fraud from EDPreporting. I wasd ripped off. And I know a lot of innocent folks are being ripped off everyday by EDP. Please help.

I intend to return to my bank and request a refund since EDPreport.com refuses to return stolen funds of $159.95 from me. I do not intend to let EDPreporting.com or EDPreporting, LLC to get away with this type of misleading offer to consumers.
