Since 2010 I have made complaints of the decline of infrastructure and support of the Rondout
Valley resorts, a subsidiary company of Equity Lifestyles properties. This is an RV park/Campground that after I upgraded my membership by over six thousand dollars, the park started a spiral downhill to include no or little security which
resulted in assaults, thefts, criminal mischief's and sex related crimes. (documented by New York State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff's office)
The company has also introduced a low end yearly membership to the public and they have the same rights and ammonites that I have. These low end memberships have created a trailer park atmosphere as opposed to a RV park family campground. (I can provide the police reports to substantiate this) Roads needing repair, sites needing repair, Open ditches for cable TV were dug and left exposed several years-still no cable as promised, pool leaks and water is
freezing due to having to refill it daily.  Sometimes no security or very little and inexperienced staff left people
coming and going into the park which many were non members and created controversy and sometimes criminal acts. The park has changed for the worse in the several years I have been a member and the complaints I have made have fell
on deaf ears until recently. I as well as numerous members made complaints to Rondout Valley resorts and promise were made that they were working on these issues. Rondout also made comments that Equity Lifestyles were contacted and things would change. They did, they got worse.

I called several times to Equity lifestyles properties to speak with customer support and the woman I spoke with stated it was a problem for Rondout Valley resorts. I then approached Rondout valley resorts and they in substance stated it was Equity Lifestyles properties responsibility. After getting the run around, I emailed Equity Lifestyles and received NO response, I called them by phone and was advised I had to write a letter and that they couldn't do anything by phone. I did receive an email from Rondout Valley resorts manager who although sympathized with me, she had asked if I heard anything back from Equity Lifestyles to which I told her no. After this was occurring, two tropical storms hit our area and devastated the park to which from I believe August until present the park is closed. (During this time I had purchased a
"permanent site for a year period that I could not use.  I then stopped making payments to Equity Lifestyle properties until I head from a Customer service manager about the park conditions. I received several calls and letters from an Andrea Ettinger a manager in account payable as well as her assistant and I told them numerous times I would pay up my delinquent account if someone would call me. No one called.

I then wrote a letter to Joe McAdams the president and owner of Equity Lifestyles and several days later my account was placed in collections and still no one from customer service called other than the collections manager Danielle.  Is this how Equity Lifestyles Properties does business?   Try finding a phone number-Web Link-or assistance to even get ahold of someone in customer care/support. Be aware and do your homework before buying into Equity Lifestyles properties, great sales pitch and no follow through
