Everest College Everest University, Bryman College, CCI, Corinthian Colleges Everest College cannot find a valid externship Tacoma, Washington

I joined Everest College February 1, 2010 after being satisfied with the commercials, the fact that my sister-in-law graduated from there, along with the fact that everything appeared professional when I went there.  My experience with the instructiuon of Everest College was great.  I actually feel that my instructors have a lot of knowledge about Medical Assisting.  I was excited about my job prospects.  When I first signed up one of the comforting things was that they were going to find me an externship and would provide job assistance after graduation.  We even had an externship seminar starting in our 5th Module that explained the same thing.  With this being said the problems I have from Everest began with their Career Services Department.  When I finished all of my modules they did not have an externship ready for me even though I fufilled all the requirements for one.  I had high grades, and above average attendance, along with tons of front office experience in the medical field.  It took them 1 month after my 7th Module in order for them to find an externship for me.  In addition to this, my externship was located over 30 miles from my home.  Within a couple of days one of the externship sites that I did find called me for an interview.  I called and let my representative about the possibility of switching to that site then I told them that I would just prefer to stay at the site I am at.  The next day they called me and told me that they had me removed from the site and that I should just go interview at the other site.  I interviewed at the other site and received the position and had to take a leave of absence into the externship due to a family emergency with my son.  I applied and got the leave of absence from Everest.

I returned to Everest about 1 month later.  Took the required tests in order to restart my schooling and passed it.  Now I am of course having extreme difficulties with them being able to find an externship site.  In addition to that I am experiencing a constant change in the Career Services Staff.  This college is trying to send me to Retirement Homes doing CNA externships along with Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist offices to do paperwork for them.  Both of these experiences have nothing to do with what I went to school for.  I feel that if they can't find me an externship there is one of three choices.  Either let me do my externship hours at Everest, exempt the hours because they cannot find an externship, or give me my money back.  Oh I forgot to include this crap they always tell you about walking your resume and finding your own externship.  I did that and most people either turned me flat down said why didn't I have the college contact them.  15,000 later I am stuck with this.  I wished I would've looked up this college online because I see there are tons of the same complaints.  Hopefully this will help.  I personally am going to pursue a lawsuit against them if they don't give me some kind of externship that makes sense.
