Erin McElmurray is the definition of a schizophrenic psycho. She thinks that anytime you even try to talk to her that you are attacking her and if she doesn't like what she hears she immediately begins yelling and cursing at you making aggressive gestures and gets a crazy looks in her eyes. I have personally experienced this and I was afraid that she would even go as far as to hit me! I also witnessed her screaming at multiple customers during lessons and just around the farm. If a horse so much as looks the wrong way she is likely to begin beating, whipping, and screaming at the horse. I have witnessed her threatening her horses with dressage whips in their stalls as well as leaving her horse in the paddock alone after taking away all the other pasture mates while it gallops wildly around because it didn't want to be caught. All of her horses are walked with a chain over their nose and I've seen bloody chain marks on a horses nose after it didn't stand perfectly. She rarely lets her horses outside into what little paddocks they have. On multiple occasions it has been 70 degrees and sunny and her horses don't go outside for any apparent reason. Also she throws snow balls and rocks at other horses in the pasture near hers if they come too close to her or her horses. Beware of signing a contract with her as well because she will get you into a contract and then threaten to sue you every chance she can get and then she will break the contract and still threaten to sue you and refuse to pay the consequences. She will steal your business if you let her on your farm and she will act like she owns the riding arenas and scare away other customers if they attempt to go in them. DO NOT WORK FOR HER WHATEVER YOU DO she has been known to hit her workers and scream at them and degrade them and then if she doesn't feel like it she won't pay them and I've seen this personally. Erin has people watching her at horse shows that I've talked to that say they seen her beating her horses and working them into a lather until the point of hyperventilating. She has even been excused from horse shows because of her behavior towards her clients and horses. Think about this before you decide to become a student of hers. ERIN IS THE BIGGEST LIAR I'VE EVER MET. Almost everything she does or says is a lie she will butter you up with the sweetest words and actions until you can't escape and then she will pounce and you will wish you had never met her. Her love life is the same way she has a new boyfriend almost every week and she brings them to the farm and it's just tacky. She must treat them the same way because they don't stick around for long! No body can stand her it's true you can ask almost any equestrian center in the Kalamazoo area and they will know about Erin and they will have horror stories to tell you. Save yourself and your horse the pain and suffering that will be inflicted by this crazy woman! Visit other ripoff reports as well to hear the same information!
