I purchased glasses at Eye-Glass world on 04-07-09 (two pair) one with a lens coating that they had assured me had gotten much better than what I had previously purchased from them that had given me problems in the past... 


I was advised to always clean them (wet) with a soft cloth to prevent scratching... which was followed by me to no avail... The pair with the coated lenses are now so scratched that they are useless to be able to see thru...

Feeling this was a defect in workmanship I took them back to the store to show they what they looked like...  I was told since I had purchased a warranty on the lenses that they would sell me a new pair of the same for 20% of the normal price... 

I told them I felt they should replace them at no cost to me and that I felt there was definetly a defect in workmanship.... and that they should cost me nothing .... the warranty should not apply on their defective lenses....

I let in disgust and told them they would not sell me any more glasses... that I was through with them... They said that was OK.... they were sorry I felt that way but offered to do nothing for me...

I had spent $578.95 on a ($99.00) special for three sets of glasses.... with them... and feel the least they could have done was make good their shoddy workmanship... 

Even though I may return to get new lenses.... and have to pay 20% for those lenses.... or I completely lose out on the cost of the warranty that I paid dearly for...I feel the company is a complete rip-off especially when they make out as they are the good guys and the customer is (always wrong).... no matter what...

If this is any help to my case please register my complaint with any and all parties that might be of help to others also in the future...   Thanks for your help...
