Family Credit Counceling Corp FCCC Just ripped me off too Lauderdale Lakes Internet

I am so upset. In reading all of the conumer's complaints, they gave me all the same excuses. Hurricanes, computer problems, etc. They had no problem taking my money. Worse, they told me NOT to make payments to my creditors, even though FCCC was paying my creditors late.

I went to them because I was fighting breast cancer for over a year and being a Realtor, there were many times I had to refer business to another Realtor because I couldn't even stand up. I was constantly getting sick and being rushed to the hospital.

I paid FCCC early now. I get a call today, telling me that they are not giving my a certificate of completion and they ARE NOT Refunding me my set up fee of $355.00 because I paid a creditor off on my own due to the fact the creditor would not work with FCC and, while sick, FCC claims they made payments to them (back in 2005) but the creditor was receiving late payments from them, leaving the account going into collections.

My now late Father, gave me the money to pay off that creditor because the collection agency threatened to take me to court.

Now, FCC tells me they don't have record of this, when they DID IN FACT receive proof that the account was paid so that they STOP sending their late payments from my money to that creditor. According to FCC because I paid off that creditor without them involved, I will not get my $355.00 refund back and I will not get a certificate of completion.

However, it was ok to blame their late payments to my creditors on Katrina. But it isn't ok for me to do the right thing and pay a creditor because they wouldn't work with FCC while going through high dose chemo treatments atg the time.

I too suffered from them making kate payments to other creditors, one of which is paid in full, but reported me as a charge off because they received payments from FCC past due.

Every month I was on the phone with creditors and FCC and FCC always blamed it on someone other then themselves.

They take unfortunate circumstances anyone has, they take a $35.00 a month fee, they Did take a set up fee from me and they made my credit worse due to my illness.

I called my attorney, he wants me to get the number of the Law firm who issued a class action suit. According to FCC, they told me about the class action suit situation a few months back that "The court found no wrong doing on FCC's part". But now I find out this is still an open case and there are SO MANY people out there still paying FCC and ignoring what is REALLY going on.

And it is no wonder they claim they have NO RECORD of my faxing them and mailing them copies when I paid off a creditor through Midstate Collection while I was battling cancer...THERE ARE FORMER EMPLOYEES ON THIS SITE REPORTING THE WRONG DOINGS OF FCC. They got records, they received the faxes, the e-mails and in the mail. And this all happened before Katrina.

The man hungup on my face and I am being punished for doing what is right. I battled cancer, when I was diagnosed, 6 months after, I needed this help because of medical bills.

As Realtor, yes, there is something fishy going on with FCC, they hold onto money, they would send me statements that they are paying more then what is reflected on the creditor's statements (which is less). I have all the paper works and proof.

They are making money off of people. The problem with FCC is they "assume" that people don't keep track of this stuff. Oh, they do.
