Fashion Bug mailed me a bill for $1.67.  While in the area, I went into the store to shop and pay the bill.   Much to my surprise, the store was in the process of closing. I offered to pay the amount of $1.67.  They refused to take it, informing me that it would be better to pay it by phone. I called fashion bug's customer service.  They informed me that fashion bug was going out of business.  However, I could still use the card at "Lane Bryants".   I told them i preferred to close the account.  The person took all the information and told me the account was now closed.  Later I received another bill for $5 +   I called fashion Bug again.    The man assured me that he was cancelling the acct and not to worry.   There was a strong language barrier.  The communication was atrocious! Again I was told the account would be cancelled.

I received another bill dated 10/07/2012 for $18.57.   I have not used the card since my last purchase prior to the store closing.  this is harrassment by no other identity!

Figuring, that the original bill was legitimate because you tried to pay it, did you actually pay the original $1.67?  If not then that is your problem and you are now probably being charged late fees as well as additional interest.  Not being able to pay your bill in the store, while inconvenient, is not a RipOff.

Now, if you did pay the original $1.67 what are these new charges for?  They obviously don't just say pay us xxx dollars(and if they did I hope you would scan and post a copy of the bill for all to see).  The bill has detail as to what the $5 is from.  If you dispute it, you must go through the proper dispute process.  This including sending them the dispute in writing within 60 days(so you don't have a lot of time).  The instructions for this will be on the back of your statement.
