FFE Transportation is a horrible place to work!!!!! Lancaster, Texas

FFE Transportation is the worst trucking company to work for. I had a horrible taste in my mouth the moment I touch down on their yard in Fort Worth! I got my CDL in 2001 and have worked for a few local companies driving but the recent events with my family had made me stop driving all together for the past few years. I was looking to get back out there, first off, it is so hard to get any company to take you even if your record is completely clean! FFE said that since I have been off the road for so long that I would have to go to their driver training program, so I said ok but didn't know they were going to hold $4,000 over my head since they made me do the training class even though I just had a refresher course a few months prior.. Then on top of that they make you go out with a trainer for 6 weeks and the trainer had only been driving for 6 months and couldn't drive at all. He would go out for a week and then be at the yard for two, they tried to make me stay another week with him because he kept taking home time..  Really, not my problem maybe they should train their trainers better.. I told them I wasn't going to do the extra week and they didn't make me after I went over their heads. I finally received a truck, not at all what I was hoping for, so many problems with this is was ridiculous. First off the check engine light stayed on the whole I was driving it, the windshield leak water every time it rain on all the electrical switches, didn't have the proper safety equipment, nor did it have snow chairs (when I said something to my dispatcher he said there was no law for them), almost everything that could have gone wrong did. I ask for a spare key and they make me aluminum key, which broke off in the ignition and they took that money for the repair out of my check. I am not a owner operator I am a company driver.

Was going through Mississippi and get pulled over by a state trooper for a random inspection and everything was good except when he ask me to put my right signal light on the left signal would light up it did something different everytime he ask me to do it. I didn't receive a ticket but was shut down until it got fixed. I called safety and they had someone come look at the trailer but he couldn't figure out why it was doing that, he said that someone at FFE told him just to sign off on the paper and tell me to keep driving. I called safety back they told me to not move the truck at all they were gonna get me towed to Jackson, many hours later I was towed to a trailer shop right outside of Jackson and they were closed so I waited until the morning for them to tell me nothing was wrong with the trailer(I already knew that).. Then had to drive across a hwy to freightliner, I was loaded and knew I wasn't gonna be able to take the delivery but my dispatcher said he wasn't taking the load from me.. I still don't get that, I waited for a whole week, paid for my own hotel room never once did they asked if I needed a place to sleep since my truck was in the shop then didn't pay me for any of my break down time which would have been around $750.. And then after 5 days of being shut down they pick my load up and didnt even leave my lock which was takung out of my check the first week i got my truck.. That was the final straw for me.. To any new or experienced driver never work for FFE, they treat you like a piece of s**t. I have moved on since then but wanted to let other drivers know stay away from this crappy company something bad is gonna happen to them!!!!
