Let me start by stating beware doing business with Jim Rosen and his company.  He may have lower prices, but that comes at a price to you the consumer.  I purchased a treadmill from Jim in 2005.  I was sold all the bells and whistles including a free lifetime warranty and a free tread belt replacement for life.  Unfortunately, Jims customer service manager Augustine Pizano refuses to honor the warranty.  First Augustine tells me that my treadmilll manufacturer went out of business and he can not get parts.  I asked if they had a 3rd party parts suppler, and Augustine replied no.  Hard to believe.  So I began to research Keys alliance and found out that they are now keys fitness.  I called keys fitness and they were all to aware of Jim Rosen and Augistine Pizano and their deceptive practices.  Alliance never offered any warranty beyond their original 3 year warranty.  I see the game Augistine and Jim Rosen are playing.  After the 3 year warranty, they will refuse to honor their lifetime warranty on silly technicalities.  My tread belt ripped.  My warranty should cover this damage.  Augustine refuses to honor the warranty claiming it was limited.  No where on my paperwork does the term limited exist.  Furthermore, Augustine claims their policy does not cover ripped belts.  I looked at the super jims website as it appeared in 2005.  Guess what?  No mention of this warranty.  Augustine said that policies are subject to change.  And how would I the consumer be aware of such policy changes?  The lifetime warranty from Jim Rosen is nothing more than a scam to make the sale more attractive.  If you research Jim Rosen on this website and complaints, com and the BBB, you will find many many complaints of the same nature.  He practices deceptive sales techniques.  Jim Rosen should not be in business and I agree with others that his sales folks are carefully trained.  Also beware sending any emails to jim.rosen@fitnessblowout.com.  I believe this is a bogus email that goes to augustine Pizano and never gets to Jim Rosen.  He has yet to reply to my many emails and Augustine has said that he himself responds to complaints and hands out Jims address.  Jim and Augustine define lifetime warrant as limited but fail to place in writing the term limited or provide customers with their policy.  And trying to find such policies is not easy.

I can not stress enough to beware doing business with Jim and Augustine.  They are dishonorable men.

Still refusing to honor warranty

AUTHOR: Tony - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, May 03, 2012

In today's market where everyone can go anywhere to purchase goods, what differentiates one company from the next is their customer service.  And in this simple matter, Jim Rosen and Fitnessblowout fail.  As I previously mentioned, Jim has low prices and then offers a myriad of attractive incentives in order for his sale to seem better.  In reality, it is not.  He will sell you a treadmill with his "fantastic" lifetime warranty on the treadmill and on the belt.  He will send you paperwork with this warranty listed but fail to make any distinction between his paperwork and what the warranty actually covers.  There is no call outs to alert one to read the fine print  There is no mention of the word limited in his warranty.  There is no call out to the fact that his lifetime warranty is limited in any way.  When presented with this argument, Augustine Pizano simply says it's not his problem and that his warranty does not cover a tear in the belt.  I could accept this if this could be found in my paperwork or any mention of such lack of coverage on my invoice.  It does not.  When I purchased my Treadmill from Jim 7 years ago, he promised that I was covered bumper to bumper for the life of my treadmill.  He made no mention of the fact that his lifetime warranty ends if the manufacturer goes out of business.  And no where on my paperwork is this stated.  Jim will not purchase parts elsewhere to fulfill his lifetime warranty.  FRAUD in every sense of the word.  Jim promised lifetime labor was included in my lifetime warranty.  Something I had Augustine Pizano put in writing.  Augustine refused to honor lifetime labor stating he had made a mistake.  Really?  FRAUD in every sense of the word.  At one point Augustine agreed to replace my belt. After I asked for an update Augustine asked for a picture of my belt.  He then denied me coverage based on a picture.  FRAUD in every sense of the word.  My treadbelt has no curling of the edges, nor any fraying on either side of the belt.  Augustine is not qualified to make such a judgement call without having my treadmill looked at by a qualified technician.  Augustine also refuses to allow me to speak with Jim Rosen.  His exact words...'Not going to happen'.  Even if you call and ask for Jim Rosen, the employees will transfer you to Augustine.  They are trained well.  And the email address of jim.rosen@fitnessblowout.com is bogus and never generates any sort of response.  If this is truly Jims email address he is satisfied in ignoring customer complaints and implores for help.  Amazing that in 7 years my only claim for coverage under Jim Rosens "lifetime" warranty is denied.  As I said, this was a simple matter of customer service to which Augustine has failed.  Augustine and Jim are dishonorable men, and frauds.  I implore anyone attracted to their prices to seriously think of purchasing elsewhere.  Jim has a myriad of complaints leveled against him here, at complaints.com and thru the BBB.  Do not give these dishonorable men your hard earned money.
