Freeborn County, Minnesota Sheriff's Office Lets kids get away with everything under the sun, and then tried to arrest ME Albert Lea Minnesota

I met a nice lady in the aforementioned county. Her daughter, who is well known to the above named idiots (and you will see why they are idiots) on two occasions, should have been taken into custody and/or placed into the juvenile detention center. Please let me explain:

One one occasion, the child (who, mind you, is on probation for a theft charge) threatened to burn down her mother's home (a very nice double wide trailer) because she was mad at her mother. A call to the psychiatric ward at the hospital informed us to call 911 and have the sheriff's department bring the child to the hospital. I did just that. The deputies who responded talked to me and my friend, then talked to the child, who admitted to the deputies that she wanted to light the trailer on fire! What did they do? They told me and my friend that WE had to take the child to the hospital! We did.

The final straw came when the child and her mother got into a physical altercation. I called 911 to get the child out of there and when the deputies came, the child and her friend made up a story on how I was making sexually gratifying remarks to them, and that I slammed the child against the wall! Mind you, the child's mother (my friend) was with us all day, and there was no damage to the wall of the trailer, which would have happened should I have done such a nasty thing. Well the deputies ran my background through both Minnesota and Illinois, and found nothing at all (which was expected, as I do not have a criminal record.) They then decided to tell me that I should go back to Chicago, and "never come to Freeborn County again".

It should be noted that this department recently had an election, and it was a close race for sheriff. I truly give my sympathy to the citizens of Freeborn County that they have to deal with this nut (and his deputies) for several more years.
