All i can say is, i wish i'd found these stories first before i sent any money. I found freedom fianancial group online, promising no credit checks and guaranteed loans for people with bad credit. suppose that should have clued me in. but i applied and got a response from Julia Anderson, she was so nice. i got the same three choice option, have someone co-sign, use a car as collateral or pay the insurance deposit. mine started out at 2100.00 since she said my loan for 25000.00 was so much, but she would work on getting it lowered.
to my delight i got a very professional looking contract showing a lower payment of 1500.00 which, sad to say, i borrowed from my family and sent by money gram to chaim lunievsky.
of course, after i did that, julia told me there was a hold on my account for closing costs of 950.00 which they forgot to mention but assured me were in the contract. Julia even let me talk with her supervisor, i think the name was alissa, so that she could explain what the fees were and she assured me they were in the contract. i did find some vague mention about being responsible for all fees for the transaction. they told me they would wait and let me get the funds so that they wouldn't loose me as a customer.
during this time my family began to worry that i had been scammed and frankly so had i, so i got online and found this, among other websites loaded with the same story as mine. i have called and told "julia" that i have decided not to go thru with the loan and very casually she tole me she would email me a refund letter right away, no questions asked. of course i now know how much good that will do.
i'm a single divorcee who had damaged her credit after her divorce and was just looking for someone to understand and give me a break. not sure what i'll do now... aside from pay my family back. i'm just utterly nauseated with myself for being so gullible.
