Frontier Communications Bait and Switch! Internet

Contacted Frontier to check availability in my local area and look at the packages they offer. Was told that yes Frontier does have service in my area and that they can offer me a package of 8MB Internet download speed, unlimited local phone service for free in state, and DISH service including 200 channels. Being the IT director for a large Michigan manufacturer I knew download speeds are OFTEN over inflated. I asked what download speed could I realistically expect. I was told ABSOLUTELY between 6 and 8 MB.

Well after the install I did 2 days for testing and found a whopping 2.5 (and that is the best measurement I received only once) maximum with the average at 1.48MB. Called technical support was was told that their system shows the maximum they can possibly offer in my area in 3MB. So I called customer service to request either a reduction in the monthly cost or a disconnect and refund (for the sake of keeping this short as possible) I was told that Frontier would not offer me a lower monthly payment because their entry level cost is the same for .001MB to 8MB, I was on the phone 4 hours, I was "accidentally" disconnected 3 times, I was told that the person that took my order didn't work for Frontier (but they couldn't explain to me how this was possible when I got their contact number from their own web site - a mystery I guess),

That even thought they took $104 dollars from my account for the DISH service they would only refund $56.00 and if I wanted the rest I would have to find out where it was and get the refund, that Frontier, or any of it's representatives did not know a company called I Dish (which is the other company Frontier allowed into my account to grab some money) when I told the I Dish rep that DISH disavowed any knowledge of I Dish they stated "that is a lie" and "they use us all the time". Anyway I would suggest everyone stay away from this company.
