I purchased a timeshare from GeoHoliday in February of 2008. I purchased 15,000 credits. The representative of the company told me that I was guaranteed 3 weeks of vacation in any size accomodations, any location and any time of year I wanted to go. When I tried to make reservations, I was told by the reservations department that this was entirely incorrect. After reviewing the owners manual that they gave me, I was shocked to learn that everything the representative told me was a complete lie. According to the credit chart in the back of the directory, I needed a minimum of 30,000 credits to stay a week pretty much anywhere.

They also told me that I could use my credits for cruises and airfare. When I tried to make a reservation for a cruise, they told me that they would allocate 100% of my maintenance fees toward the cost of the cruise and give me a 15% discount. They told me that the price of the cruise was around $3,000 and that after deducting the maintenace fees, I would have to pay the remaining $2,500.00. I thought that was a good deal, until I saw the same cruise on the Internet for $1700.00. Booking a cruise through Geo Holiday was not a good deal. In the end, I would use up all my credits for the year and still pay more than what I could get the cruise for on the Internet. Oh, and there is definitely no discount on airfare. I don't even want to go there!!!

As a purchase incentive, I was told that I recieved 3 RCI bonus week certificates and a free trip to Hawaii. This could not be further from the truth!! The representative informed me that once again, I could stay in any size accomodations, any location and any time of year I wanted to go, saidly this was not the case. When I tried to use the certificates, I was limited to the lowest season in locations I did not even want to go to. After trying numerous times to book my vacation, I gave up!

Then, I tried to book the Hawaiian vacation. Boy was that a joke, They told me that I had to send the certificate back to their office in 90 days between April 1st and April 15th. After they recieved the certificate, they told me that they would mail me out another certificate and that I would have to send it in with the registration fee and then choose from the dates that they had available. When I tried to reserve those dates, they told me that they were no longer available and that I would have to pick another date. After several attempts, I contacted Jessica GeoHoliday's customer service manager (customer service, ha ha, try the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life!!) who told me that the certificates were designed for breakage. I didn't know what that meant, she said they are so difficult to use that most people just give up.

I contacted the salesman who sold me the timeshare and told them about my dissatisfaction. He responded to quote, "tough s**t, you own it!" You should have read the contracts and known about the five day right to cancel.

I never make a decision without sleeping on it first and I really regret this decision. Had I known, what I know now, I would have never purchased a timeshare with GeoHoliday. I spent $11,120 on 15,000 credits that are worth absolutely nothing!!!

If you don't believe me, look at the credit chart in the back of the binder they gave you. You will see that even with 30,000 credits you really can't go anywhere. I'm so upset!!! THIS IS A SCAM!!!! Don't be fooled!!!!

Remember, YOU STILL HAVE 5 DAYS TO CANCEL!!!!
