 After accepting a position as a "Field Technician" meaning sales rep. and being promised the opportunity of making 150K a year, it only took me about two months of working for Golden Roofing aka Chateau, aka Pinnacle, aka Fentress Roofing, aka National Storm Management and owner Terry Keifer, aka Scott Knoll and Supervisor Sean Fentress, to learn I was never going to collect a penny for the over 40 jobs I sold. I was let go for fabricated reasons and told I owed the company money and would not receive a dime of the over 30k in commisions I was due to be paid.

During my tenure at Golden Roofing I had to constantly battle with my supervisor Sean Fentress, for monies promised to me, only to be told that he had to get "permission" from his boss/owner Terry Keifer who was rarely in the office.  When Terry Keifer did decide to drive his $90k Mercedes Benz to the office, dressed in his vacation clothes, he would not talk to me or any other sales reps. Sean Fentress would dance around his office throwing numbers around that didn't make any sense.

Two months later I'm broken and still trying to help customers who are left with damaged roofs and no answer as to when their roofs will be replaced, even after Golden roofing has received their insurance checks.  If anybody has else has hired an attorney or has any advise on how to help me collect the 20k in bonuses I was promised please post to this website, as I am sure I am not the only victim.

In late June I was contacted via cold call by Golden Roofing. We already knew we had storm damage and needed a roof, and were not not ready to expense it yet.Golden Roofing Jacksonville kept insisting that not only was the inpspection free, so was the roof, as they would work with our insurance company to get it paid for.  I thanked them and hung up when they called back a second time and then a third within the same hour. The third caller was supposedly " management" who further explained the situation.

It took two weeks, but Stephen, I believe it was you who came out and walked our roof and took pictures. We talked for a long time about my insurer ( they aren't really neighborly ) and how they refused to pay out a claim that we had when the hurricanes, Jeanne and Francis took off part of our roof and we had major water damage from the rain coming in that we ended up repairing ourselves at great expense. We're in the OP south area.
Anyway, we never heard back from you because, of course, you had left...so we called your office which was only concerned that we might have " signed a contract " and they immediately sent out another rep. He was a nice guy but no pics, etc, more concerned over getting the contract signed and telling us how it would work out.
A few days later he calls us and tells us that our "neighborly insurance company" refuses to accept any calls from them despite the fact that he'd started several claims for other customers in the past  few days.

We started the process ourselves, and lo and behold, we did have some pretty bad damage and the insurance adjuster agreed. They sent out their own roofers and are going to do a repair only.

The problem being, this particular insurer wants desperately to leave the state and is already hiking their rates up again this year. They've dropped thousands of homeowners and are ready for another round of ' drops' and any excuse to do so. Now we have an open claim stirred up by Golden, when we were originally going to do the minor repairs ourselves. We are now losing out on either getting dropped completely or having our rates increase due to this claim. Oh joy!

To top this off, we have had two adjusters, and the insurance company's ' pet roofer" at our house via appointment and a promise from Golden that they would be there to help us the whole way.Not only has Golden not done diddly squat for us but no show on every appointment, but now we cannot get a hold of anyone. The second rep they sent was hospitalized for surgery and no one will talk to us at all.
I agree with you that they are on their way out of the state or at least operating under their current name and license. I think I'll give the second rep a call and suggest he put some distance between himself and them before he goes down with the ship.

Stephen, I wish that you had called us,too, as your clients. At least I think I have the right guy. Am I correct in saying that you worked in automotive industry and that you had created a youtube video ( now deleted, I think ) about how the Golden Roofing process worked? I'm the lady that discussed Little Giant ladders with you, too.
I am delighted that we dodged a bullet on this one. I am now going to contact another company to check out the damage and see if it is more than what our insurance adjuster states, but I want to tell everyone in the Jacksonville area...avoid these people like the plague.Give them NO money. I am assuming  that since none of their sales reps have been getting paid, their vendors are also being shorted. That means, for the homeowners, you get a lien on your house from the vendors.

I too was an employee that recently left the company for fear of this company packing up with customers money and leaving town.  I also joined this company under the illusion it was a $100k opportunity.  I worked as a sales manager for a Fortune 500 corporation.  After a few weeks with the company I quickly learned it wasnt as promised, not even close. Employees went in and out with shocking speed, processes changed daily, no training, constant hypocracies...a true circus. It was saddening as I truly was looking forward to a new career.

I was also told Terry was the owner, even though documents indicated someone else from Ponte Vedra. I never met the mystery owner from Ponte Vedra and Terry signed all the checks...so I assume Terry is the owner.

My bubble burst when a potential client called me saying they did a lot of research and found that Terry Keifer had owned several roofing companies that all had ended with similar stories of fraud and deceit. I researched this customers findings and was shocked about what I had seen.  In good conscience I had no choice but to systematically start notifying the customers I had recently met, and to do my best to protect customers that had already handed over checks.

This is truly a company that these websites are designed for.  Investors, customers, employees...no one is safe.

Mark my words...Soon the office to Golden Roofing will likely be padlocked.  These criminals will show up in another state doing business in another name.  The victims will be customers and well-intended employees.  I hope whoever is reading this pays close attention...especially the so-called owner from Ponte Vedra, who clearly has no idea what is happening if he is defending it in any way.

I am very glad to see that my posting was responded too.  You as a consumer now can see for yourselves how deceitful Golden Roofing is.  Only three sentences into the response the lies begin.

First, Golden Roofing states that they have been in Jacksonville Florida since 1997 and has had no complaints since.  If this is true, then why does Golden Roofing Jacksonville Fl BBB rating show that they have only been accredited with the BBB since Dec 12, 2011.  You can see this for yourself by simply typing "Golden Roofing Jacksonville FL" in your google search.

Secondly, I would find it very surprising that a company that has been in business since 2007 has only fired one employee.  Obviously this company is having issues with more than one employee since not only do I not drink, I am a victim of pancreatitis, and I am not one of the patients who got this from drinking, I cannot stand the taste of alcohol and never could.  I'm sure that anyone that believes a company that says they have only fired one employee in five years would not be doing their homework on this webpage.

Thirdly, I also can provide a list of "customers" that have been calling me begging for my help since my departure from Golden Roofing.  These unlucky homeowners have already given Golden Roofing checks from their insurance company months ago and still have not had their roofs replaced.  I received three calls today alone. 

Fourth, I can also provide proof that Terry Keifer is the owner of Golden Roofing with a copy of my signed paycheck, or as Golden Roofing would call it "a draw".  I have read other ripoff reports which show Terry Keifer as having an alias as Scott Knoll.  Does this sound like someone you want to do business with?

This is in response to the fabricated rip off report against Golden Roofing. The first error is that I am the owner of the company not any of the people listed in the complaint. Golden Roofing was established in 2007 and has not had one single complaint filed against it. All of the roofs we have worked on in the state of Florida have gone through a 4 step inspection process by the city or county inspection department. All roofs have passed all inspections conducted by these departments without exception. Our company has a list of references from these homes we have completed and I would be happy to supply a long list of these references. This complaint is without merit. I do not know who would have filed this complaint except to say I can also provide a list of customers who when we sent an individual to their homes and these people complained about a salesperson slurring their words to the point of not having the ability to understand the individual and that the person had the scent of alcohol; on their breath. We terminated this individual because this simply cannot be tolerated by our company. This is the only person I can remember our company having to terminate after many warnings they received. I do not know if that is the individual that filed this complaint however I do know this complaint is unjustified and who ever filed it I believe you would consider this a disgruntled employee trying to discourage a person from dealing with as reputable company that is doing a great deal of benefit for homeowners we have assisted in having their roofs replaced to their satisfaction. Again we can provde those references and a list of people who complained about this individual mentioned earlier.
