I rented from a company called Go renter in Phoenix, Az. From June 2011 until Feb. 2012. We had to break the lease in February of 2012, due to the fact I became unemployed in August of 2011.

We continued to pay rent at the residence from June 2011 until February 2012, while also paying rent at our new residence.

We could not afford it anymore, or manage paying rent in 2 places after February 2012. I put in a 30 days notice as instructed by Go Renter. I knew we would be responsible for the house because of the lease. I knew we had to pay the rent until the lease was up in June of 2012. (All understood). Where the confusion comes in is... We kept that house in great condition. We are very clean people. When we first moved in June 2011, we were told the there was no Dryer. We said that was perfectly fine because we had a washer and dryer. So when we moved in, we used our own washer and dryer and pushed the house dryer to the wall, and never used it. There were dead roaches on the floor turned on their backs. All on the first floor. We told Go Renter, they said well its been a couple of weeks since they cleaned but if we clean it up, they would deduct the carpet cleaning of 300.00 from part of fee. So we cleaned it ourselves. The list of things wrong that we called them about when we moved in was... Rusty faucet, it was old. Broken window upstairs, they said landlord will not fix. We also used our own refrigerator . Kept the house one in the garage. But kept it very clean. Also the floor grout was not finished downstairs. there were cracks by the floor and wall. The paint on walls were chipping, no screens on windows or sliding door leading to outside. There was an oil stain on the driveway that was there when we moved.  Came from an old car, and we had two new ones that did not leak! Every time we called and complained about all of these things, we were told that in the contract, the house was " move in condition" and the landlord was not willing to fix anything! The first sign of Go Renter not being fair was in December of 2011, when they did the inspection of the house. We knew that would go great because our house was clean. an inpector came by and perforned the inspection, and we were naming things that we still needed fixed while he was there, and it was the same things that we complained about when we moved in. we were telling him as a reminder. And when we got the report the next day in an Email, i almost lost my mind! he had put things wrong with the house... the very things that we had been complaining about since June of 2011. i tried to call them, but they never answer! it always goes to voice mail. i was very angry about that, because i knew we did not do damage in that house,
and these were things that were there when we moved in! when we were ready to move out... We had the carpet in the whole house cleaned. No hard spots at all. We came back to Arizona and cleaned that house from top to bottom! It
was more presentable than it was when we first moved in. All of the items that had been unfixed, were still unfixed. When we finally got an itemized bill, Go Renter rung up over 11,000.00 worth of damages!!! The only thing that we should be responsible for is rent for March thru June, cancellation of lease fee. And restocking add fee to rent it back out. These people have charged us for everything that was wrong in that house! Broken window, paint job, sink, refrigerator, missing Dryer... When it was not one in there when we moved! And so much more!!! Where and how do they keep record??!!! Google
them and it is numerous complaints! I need help fighting these crooked people! We are NOT giving them over 11,000.00 worth of damages, when we did not do them!

AUTHOR: GoRenter.com, LLC - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, November 19, 2012

The tenant signed a lease June 6, 2011 through June 30th 2012. In December the tenant called and asked about breaking her lease and was explained how that process would work and she says in her complaint that she understood there would be fees associated with breaking her lease.

The tenant states that she broke her lease in February. The tenant paid rent in February but continued to live in the property until the end of March without paying March rent so eviction action was taken against her to recover the property and a judgement with all related fees was obtained in court.

The tenant has a judgement in the amount of $1776.34 for March and owes an additional $4222.97 in rent and lease break fees for April-June. There's $1388.00 in maintenance repairs(with pictures  before and after the work) since then collection fees have been added to the account.

Gorenter.com is the agent for the owner and these monies are owed to the owner not to us. We are willing to work with the tenant with the owners permission to reduce some charges to the account and will make payment arrangements with the tenant.

Thank You

You may need to get ready for a brawl in court.  Do you have paperwork that the same problems were evident when you moved in?  Definitely take pictures now (with the date on them) and see if you have any pics of the condition when you moved in.

Might be good to look for a lawyer too.  Good luck.
