They promise you won't pay anything until you finish school. BUT after 2 weeks they send you a bill over $2000. I tried to cancel from the 2 courses ,,,,,, They wont accept CANCEL letter because they own the LAW (they are GOD) they have their own rules of cancellation. So you end up with a debt of almost $5,000 for just 2 weeks of classes. What a SCAM. After that they BUG you so much to pay for debt and collector. Didn't receive financial AID at all so you would end up with a really good DEBT. Don't end up as me. They won't help you out once you enroll,,, you will be pretty much by yourself.

I am a student at GCU as are my family members as well as an employee. The biggest complaint I see from would be students, pertain to those who are unable to complete their classes either due to dropping as soon as they recieve a refund check or due to circumstances beyond their control. Unfortunately, I see much more of the former.
As part of the financial aid process at GCU, as well as any other regionally accredited university, students go through an Entrance Interview with over 25 questions to ensure that they understand the student loan process as well as sign a Master Promissory Note from a Lender which states terms or repayment.
If the student took the time to read the MPN that he signed, he would know that there is a 6 month grace period for repayment of student loans from the time a student graduates or drops out UNLESS he previously dropped out of a class elsewhere and ALREADY used his grace period.
I would recommend not undertaking a Federal Loan lightly since this is being collected from the lender, not GCU.
