GWC Warranty Total Rip-Off Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania

 I purchased a auto repair warranty from GWC for the price of 2185.00. I used it one time for the low pressure oil pump to be repaired. However, they did not pay for the full repair. Now my vehicle is broke again. The repair shop has diagnosed the problem to be the High pressure oil pump. The repair shop submitted the claim to GWC. GWC denied the claim.

I contacted GWC to inquire as to why the claim was denied when my contract specifically states that oil pumps and all internally lubricated parts are covered. Their represenative was very rude, unprofessional and arguemenative. The represenative told me that he considers the Oil Pump to be a injection pump, therefore it is not covered. The represenative also stated that even though the Oil Pump is mounted inside of the engine and it has oil running through it for lubrication, he does not consider it to be an internally lubricated part. I requested to speak to his supervisor, to which he refused. He stated that he would have someone call me the following day. I have received no call.

I contacted Ford Motor Company for clarification on the High Pressure Oil Pump. I was informed that on my truck (F-250 6.0L Diesel), Instead of a conventional injection pump, a siemens high-pressure oil pump sits at the rear of the 6.0 and within the crankcase itself. I also downloaded the lubrication system diagram for my specific vehicle. The diagram clearly shows a high pressure oil pump, not an injection pump.

I have done a lot of research on the specifics of my vehicle. GWC covered the low pressure oil pump when it went bad. But now they refuse to authorize the repairs for the high pressure oil pump by claiming that it is an injection pump do to the simple fact that it does supply pressure for the fuel injectors. So why did they not call the low pressure oil pump a turbo pump since it supplies oil to the turbo. The contract does not state that it will only cover an oil pump that supplies oil to a specific location.

I was also informed by GWC that even though the repair shop charges 95.00 per hour (which is the going rate for diesel repair), they will only pay 65.00 per hour.

When the specific part to be replaced is a high pressure oil pump, the estimate for services documents a high pressure oil pump, my contract shows that oil pumps are covered, how can GWC justify not covering the repair.

GWC is a complete rip-off. I would never recommend or purchase a warranty from them again. I will take every step possible to hold them accountable for the total cast of the repair
