I have been selling books on half.com for the last 4 years and never had a problem until now. Back in August, they tried to submit a payment to my bank account and it didn't go through because I'd forgotten to change the information on the account until they sent me the notice that I should be receiving payment soon. I changed it immediately thinking I should have gotten to it before they were able to try to submit. Apparently I did not.

They told me to change the information and the deposit would be attempted again the next day. I did and they never tried to submit. Five days later, after I'd contacted customer service to find out what was going on, they said that they were unable to directly deposit the amount and would have to cut me a check. I thought this was ridiculous since I had just received my next payment from them for MUCH less, but it did go through with no problems. I did, however, tell them that was fine and they told me it would be 8-10 weeks before I received this check. Again, I thought this was preposterous when they already had my money in pocket and I tried to argue but in the end, I agreed.

10 weeks later, I still had not received the check, so I contacted them again. Again it took them 5 days to respond to my e-mail. They said that their records showed that a check had been sent on October 5th but they also showed that I had not cashed it yet so they were going to re-cut the check, which would take another 8-10 weeks. Now I was getting mad and told them how ridiculous that was and asked for them to just ATTEMPT to try the direct deposit again. Their only response was to say that they would try to have the check expedited.

I waited until after the holidays, giving them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the holidays had screwed things up, but I still never received my check. When I contacted them this time, they merely said that they are doing away with paper checks and are therefore backlogged on getting the last ones out. They asked me to be patient with them about receiving a payment that I should have received 6 months ago! THEY wouldn't accept a payment that late so why should I???

Please, someone help me to get my money from them. This is ridiculous and NO ONE should practice business this way. If it's any help at all Thank you.
