This company is the worst I have ever dealt with ( having dealt with 3 different interlock companies before ).

First off, their phone system is garbage, when you dial "400" for billing it will bring you back to the main auto attendant or not do anything at all.

Second, their phone quality sucks because you cannot hear them.

Third, their customer service representatives are idiots and don't take instruction very well, nor do they save your information.

Fourth, you cannot pay cash, you have to use your debit card over the phone and CANNOT use just your account number/routing.

Fifth, their interlocks do NOT beep very loud. I just had to pay a $50 fee because you cannot hear it while driving, you have 3 minutes to blow or it's a rolling retest fail which is potentially bad in the DMV's eyes.

Sixth, when I brought the interlock in for get "reset" I was told I had to wait just a few minutes. I was out the door a little more than 30 minutes later.

I would highly recommend staying away from this company if you value your money and time. I also have never written a bad review on any company before but thought I would share this with the world to help a few people out.

Support for Your Daughter

AUTHOR: Support - ()

POSTED: Thursday, April 10, 2014

I was very moved by your comments and the love and support you give to your daughter. I would like you to know,  that if you ever would like to reach out to us, I would personally like to offer my support, by accompanying your daughter in any of the rehab meetings, dui classes or MADD counseling sessions she would have me attend with you and her.

I too have a personal story with my daughter, and a big reason why I became involved with the ignition interlock program. Her best friend was killed by a drunk driver, and caused quite a bit of trauma in our family due to her friends death. Your story and the course of action you have taken is a testament to your character, and I wanted you to know that you are not to blame, and children sometimes run astray, and as parents we have to do what ever is necessary to help guide them back to the right track. It can be overwhelming to take this on alone, so if you need additional help please email support@instantinterlock.

God Bless you and your daughter.

I lost my son to a drunk driver.  My son lost his life in a car accident caused by a sick person like you.  Why did I read your post, because after 7 years, I still search the internet for sick, pathetic individuals who post complaints about their DUI punishment.  The fireman at the scene found my son and my wife unconscious.  My son did not survive.  Each of you with your complaints about dealing with penalties you were given, should be ashamed.  You should actually be in prison.  Yes it sounds harsh, but you will never understand my pain until you show up at a hospital and the physician tells you your son has died.  I asked to see my son and what I saw can’t be explained in words.  The best thing about complaints like yours are that others can see them and respond.  Like your complaint, our response will be here forever.  I have seen your website on Facebook. It looks like a college frat party invite list.  Each member has joined to support your sick mind.  You are a sick individual that has been with at least 4 interlock companies.  You make that very clear in your sick rage.  Each and every member on that website is listed as supporters of a convicted drunk driver.  Each one of you can spend the rest of your life explaining to your potential college, future employer, friends and family why you joined to support someone like this.  Each of you have a choice to make.  Unfortunately the drunk that killed my son, left me no choices, only pain.  That is the least each of you should be required to do.  Every member that complains about DUI laws and the punishment you receive, should be required to suffer like me.

Mother of Daugher with DUI

AUTHOR: SGAZ - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 09, 2013

I am the Mother that posted the June 2013 response on my Daughter in an accident and no one was seriously hurt.  Since I posted the information that I would chose Instant Interlock, I have went through a tremendous amount of heartache.  Initially my daughter said that the DUI Device was so easy to use and the program and her healing was going great.  Since that post, my daughter has fallen into a serious alcohol and possibly a drug problem.  I am now trying to help her seek help.  I am at a loss.  She began calling me hysterically, talking without any reason complaining about this company and her life.  She said she had tried to contact this company numerous times because they were illegally charging her for failing a test, which she never failed.  Unfortunately, she was difficult to understand and deal with.  I truly believe she is on some type of drugs, due to a serious downturn in her health and ability to communicate.  I reached out to the company and found that she had let a pre-paid credit card run out of funds and had not paid her bill for 2 months.  I will say that the company was professional and allowed me to take care of the issue.  She had never fail any test.  I am sorry for my daughter’s behavior and feel I have in some way failed as a parent.  I am devastated.  I have joined Mothers against Drunk Drivers and now give to a local charity that assist families with drug and alcohol issues.  I do not know anything about others who have posted on this site about this company, but hope that anyone with a child sees the signs of alcohol or addiction long before it becomes the nightmare I have dealt with.  If I am responsible in any way, I am truly sorry and will never forgive myself if she hurts another.

AUTHOR: LJ from edsatd - ()

I was told by both MVD and Instantant Interlock who fault it was. To all who choose this company I will say again to check with both MVD and your payment account.

Fathers Perspective

AUTHOR: MDthanks - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, June 26, 2013

I am also a Parent who has a daughter that needs one of these devices soon.  While reviewing options, I saw this information.  My daughter was in an accident while drinking.  Fortunately she did not cause any injuries to others or herself.  As a parent, you can totally relate to the Father’s perspective.  I will be calling this company because of the safety issues involved.  Thank you JFisher56

From a Father's Perspective

AUTHOR: JFisher56 - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 25, 2013

The only reason I am checking reviews of the ignition Interlock program, and found this report is because as a father of a son who has to get one of these devices, I am getting as much information as I can about them. Especially after hearing they have to test while driving, and that there are different methods for making them work, I am more concerned about safety. The stories I have heard about problems with the hum and blow while driving, far outweigh the issues that have been reported on this website about this company. Apparently Instant Intralock has a straight blow unit.

My very dear friends son was hit and killed by a drunk driver. I saw the pain his family went through first hand. Even though it’s my son going through this,  I think this program is too lenient. They should not even let them drive for a YEAR, and then put them on this program for the year after. There are other modes of transportation -use them for a year and maybe they would develop an appreciation for being able to drive, and never want to go on the program again IMO. For the guy Mc Fly(or whatever you call yourself) who authored both rip-off reports, you said this was not the first time in the program, and was complaining about not be able to hear it. BOO h*o I really am sorry to hear that. Obviously a d****e bag that blames his problems on everyone else, and thinks he is the victim. After seeing the affects of a habitual dui offender like yourself, and the havoc they can reap, I have little sympathy for guys like you.  For the guy who was complaining that he was suspended because a report did not make it to the MVD , how do you know it was the Interlock companies fault and not the DMV’s? They have been known to make a mistake or two. Even if it was I can live with my son being off the road for a while.

Even though it sounds like they may have some problems, I still think I will encourage him to go with the device that has a safer blowing method. Thanks for the tips!

Instant Interlock

AUTHOR: SGAZ - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, June 19, 2013

The Courts, MVD and Instant Interlock made the last year hell.  The Judge treated me unfairly, the DMV was rude from start to finish.  Instant Interlock staff never break rank from the DMV and courts.  The device was straight blow, which was the only thing positive about any of this.   But the entire Interlock program sucks!!!!  The sound on it was not the problem, it was the fact that I must blow into this things while you drive.  This is rediculously dangerous.  Would I use them again, only because the straight blow was safer. All the companies treat you the same, WITHOUT ANY EMOTION!.  Instant Interlock, why don't you try setting yourself apart from the other companies and everyone would start commenting positively.

True to a point

I’m no fan of instant interlock at all. I do like the unit, you can take out of your car and there is blow back or humming. The loudness is not good at all so I put my in front of the speedometer, I have come close to missing the rolling test but made. Just like anything that has to with the courts or MVD you have to stay on top of it. I.I. did charge me twice for reset fees that they screwed up and refunded it. Court screwed up online payment too.

So you really need to stay on top over all this, it’s not just going to be easy and automatic despite what anyone says. The communication between the installer (who by the way seemed more of a a*s then anything) and I.I. was not good, the old “he said she said game”. So do they suck, a little, would I use them again, maybe not? Now I’m sure someone is saying why the hell I wrote this without just slamming I.I., well I wanted to give my appointing which I feel is fare.
