Ivan Davis, CW Publishing Group, Harrassment, knowlingly misleading, and aggressive New York New York

Initially I received a call from Mr. Ivan Davis several week ago. I do the media planning for a large client and it is not unusual to receive several calls from media reps. Mr. Davis was aggressive and would not take no for an answer, he pushed me to give him a price at which I could advertise and I blatantly told him that I could not advertise with him even if it were at a rate of $500.

Additionally, he media buy was a bad one. He was alleging that they were partners with the WSJ, when in reality they were merely purchasing an insert that anyone can do. He dropped a lot of names making it seem as though they were involved with the Masters and the WSJ.

Now yesterday he calls again and speaks to my marketing assistant. He becomes belligerent with her and tells her a blatant lie that I had negotiated a deal with him and that they will honor the contract price. He isn't happy that I won't take his call and he refuses to email me.

He goes ahead and calls our client directly, the client advises that we handle all the media. He calls back and asks to speak to someone else from our firm. Again, he becomes abrassive and very aggressive and makes it seem as though the client is very interested in advertising with him.

He calls back this morning and is not happy with the answer I give him and tells me that I had negotiated a price with him. When I tell him we are not interested he tells me he has a recording of me accepting the terms. I tell him he has no right to record me and if there is a recording it is unlawful. Of course there is no recording in which I say that but he is willing to do anything.

I ask that he send me information in which I consented to be recorded and I have received nothing.
