A few weeks ago, my friend who lives here also got his car towed. His parking tag fell from his mirror to the floor. Because J&J towers did not see it. They towed his car and my friend had to pay his fees.

I came home one day to noticed my car missing from the parking lot. I have not drove or moved the car from that specific parking spot for over a week. Immediately, I knew it was two things, either someone stole my car or J&J Towing towed it away.

I lived at this apartment for over a year. J&J will stalk these parking lots like vultures. I always have my parking tag on my car. They have left my car alone just fine until this day.

I called J & J Towing that night I noticed my car was missing. J & J Towing said they have my car. I asked him the reason why they towed my car, because I always had my tag. I told them maybe it dropped on the ground like the time with my friend.

They said they would call me back in 15 minutes. So I waited for the phonecall. It has been 30 minutes and I have not recieved a call. My brother persuaded me to call them back. My brother told me to keep bothering them or else they will be lazybums and do nothing.

So I called them back, and J & J Towing told me they checked it and did not find my parking tag anywhere. I told them if my doors were unlock, because someone might have broke in. J & J Towing said they used a flashlight to look inside so they do not know.

I finally gave up and just wanted my car back. I felt like I was a victim. I asked them how much it would cost me. "$196. Cash or Debit" They do not listen on the phone very well. I literally had to say Cash 3 times before they could understand. So they agreed to bring my car back. I waited for over 2 hours and I have not received a phone call or my car.

I will not get my car for another two days since I am leaving town this weekend and will not have another time to wait for their slow service and poor communication.

Surprised to think a resident that lives here gets this kind of treatment. Instead of checking who stole my parking tag..."oh! lets just assume this guy parked here illegally and tow it."
Lets not even check with the Apartment Office and check why this resident who lives here does not have his tag on. This is a private property of Marquis Management and my car was registered under them. If they checked with the office, they would of found the owner of this car lived here.

I was aware immature kids would go around stealing parking tags, and as I was a victim of that. I was willing to pay that $196 dollars to get my car back now. But I guess their service requires me to put more effort in calling them many times before they move their butt off from their seats.

You miss the whole point of parking rules.

The tow company's job isn't searching for errant parkers, it's job is to clear the parking stalls of cars that don't belong there. As long as your car is in the stall, someone that has complied with the property owner's desires cannot use the stall. One thing that's a constant, and that's every illegal parker has a lame excuse for why the rules shouldn't apply to him. The solution is to either move into a place where rules and courtesy don't apply, or to convince the property owner that you are the exception to his parking policy. That way you won't be "surprised" the next time your car is towed.
