I contracted with JK Harris a year ago and have paid over $300 a month for a year! They have done nothing-NOTHING for me! I was making interest only payments to the IRS and wanted to consolidate the debt, JK Harris promised they could do that.

Over the past year they have lost the documents I have sent them and although my garnishment was stopped for the payments, now I owe over 8000 DOLLARS more to the IRS.

My wages were garnished AGAIN! I had to set up payments with the IRS myself and notified my caseworker with JK Harris, the most recent one as I have had a few over the past year, because she didn't even know! Some caseworker! I call and get no answer and run around getting copies of paperwork they lost.

Last year at this time I owed the IRS less money than I do now, I was making monthly payments to the IRS of about $300. (paying just interest) A payment very similar to that of the payment I made to JK Harris.

This year, I have lost money on several occations because I had to leave work to re-send and obtain duplicates of documents I already sent them. Sending the copies time and time again can accumulate, and driving from one place to another and back-again and again...RIDICULOUS! I know some of the people at the IRS building, post office and in Payroll by there FIRST NAME I have been there MYSELF and done all this "foot work" MYSELF. One day I was in and out of the IRS building 4 seperate times! DURING MY WORK DAY! I have done all this work to not even be back where I started, which would have been more acceptable. If these were the eduacated, I have been reassured consistantly (when they answered my calls) that they were only steps away from closing a deal with the IRS.

I talked to, (at my own request) the supervisor of my caseworker and they informed me, days after my last payment is made, that that there is nothing they can really do for me!

Shouldn't they have assessed my situation a year ago?! I have had no major pay increase or any kind of change really, that would effect my case.

Now they tell me I earn too much for them to help, it took a YEAR and THOUSANDS of dollars for them to tell me this!?

What do I do NOW?! I am going to go speak with the first person that arranged my payments. If anything, at least I can get it off my chest.

file complaint with your state attorney general office - multi-state lawsuit pending

AUTHOR: Scammed By JKH - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 02, 2008

I took them to court and they dont show up - you win your case by default, but you have no recourse because they have it set up so you cannot possibly get your money back as they dont own anything in the states where they are scamming.

Your best bet is to go to your state Attorney General's office and file a complaint so it has been documented. Your state may already be involved in a multi-state lawsuit going on right now.

If not part of that yet, at least it will be documented with your state. I am sure there are others in your state who have also been ripped off by JK Harris.

Also, see if one of your local TV stations has some kind of a consumer advocate department that likes to uncover unscrupulous companies stealing from the citizens of their state.

I want to go to small claims court, my first step?????

I have read and re-read many reports on here and after trying again to contact my ltest caseworker, I want justice.
JK Harris just debited my account for my last payment, do I need to cancel my contract wih them BEFORE I can sue?
Will I be able to recover the interest I racked up with the IRS because of JK Harris' empty promises?
Should I detail time I took off work and the cost to send 90% of all the documents they requested 2 and sometimes 3 times? I have the reciepts of all the latest for certain.
Also, what do I do if MY salsperson no longer works with the company?
I am new to this and just want to atleast be back at ground zero. Somehow, those interest only payments I made each month to the IRS seem a lot more appealing when the interest hasn't added up and tacked on another few thousand dollars!
I have arranged the same $300 payment to nowheresville again so I will get to bring home the other 75% of my check the IRS wanted.
At least, this time, I have a little more knowledge and I am going to explore my options as far as a taxpayer advocate and fiing my own OIC.

I am not giving up!!!

Nothing good comes easy, that's for sure!
