Norcal Supreme is a non-profit located in San  Francisco, CA.  The owner of the non-profit is Mr. John Boone.  The website, www.norcalsupreme.org, currently provides information on a basketball program offering support for AAU teams.   According to Mr. Boone, his organization has been supporting teams for 16 years.    On 5 May, 2011, Mr. Boone hosted a parent tip-off meeting at Contra Costa College, in Richmond, CA.   At that meeting, Mr. Boone promised to pay for training/practice and tournament expenses including all travel, lodging, transportation, breakfasts and dinners for all players and coaches.   He also promised new shoes and travel duffel carrying bags for all players.   He listed up to six tournaments that the teams would attend.   Both a 17U and 16U team was established.  At this meeting, Mr. Boone also required that parents give or send him a check for $150 as a security deposit for the uniforms.  Mr. Boone promised not to cash these checks and to destroy them once the uniforms were returned.    Contrary to his promise, Mr. Boone fairly promptly cashed all the checks.    In last June, he informed the parents that he was not going to sign up the teams for tournaments in Las Vegas and Anaheim, blaming cancelation on the lack of parent support.   Both teams subsequently organized themselves, and played in the tournaments with all costs covered by parents, including tournament fees, transportation and other travel expenses.  Mr. Boone has been informed that the uniforms are now available, but he refuses to retrieve them and has not returned any of the cash from the cashed checks as of Aug 30, 2011.
