In April of 2010 my husband and I dropped off a 1984 camaro (that RAN) and a check for $15,000.00 with John Miller and Infamous Customs in Sedalia, MO for a complete customization.  We were told that the car would be completed in July of the same year.  At the time my husband was working in a job where he was in Sedalia, MO at least 3 times a week, so it wasn't a big deal to have the car 3 hours from our home.  We could still monitor things.  In July my husband changed jobs and we were no longer able to monitor John Miller.  In Aug and Sept of 2010 we had facebook communication, myspace communication, as well as phone calls and emails with John Miller.  Around Christmas he advised that there were issues with his mechanics, then there were issues with his painter, then JOhn got sick.  This went on for months and months.  We started demanding pictures and received 4 or 5 pictures of random motors, and one of the pictures was of a painted hood that I later found on the internet.  He had just taken a picture of the picture on the internet and sent it to us saying it was our car.

In May of 2011 I went to Sedalia, MO to the shop to talk to John.  I found our car outside, unlocked, missing the hood, engine and transmission.  The body had not been sanded or touched in any way whatsoever.  Thats when he started saying that the "frame was bent" on our car and that he had purchased a second car with our money to restore and that he would sign that car title over to us when it was completed.  Shortly after that he was telling us on the phone that the "second car" was back at the shop.  We again drove to Sedalia, MO to see it.  John wasn't there, but one of his employees let us in the shop.  We found that he had hidden our car in the unused paint booth.  His employee reached John on the phone and had told us that John was coming to the shop to meet him.  He drove by, saw us, and then called and lied and said he was in Texas.  John Miller has taken $15,000.00 or our money and our car...I have even reported it stolen to the local authorities because John Miller refuses to speak to us in any way (he even"unfriended" us on his facebook page).

This man will steal your money, lie to you the entire time, hide from the police, and I am not the first customer he has ripped off.  I do know that he has purchased, and completed two of his own personal vehicle customizations since we dropped off our car.  I think my money funded his own personal gains.  STAY AWAY FROM JOHN MILLER AND HIS CROOKED CAR CLUB - INFAMOUS TOYS CAR AND TRUCK CLUB!!!!

Been 3 whole years now

AUTHOR: FedUpWithTheift - ()

POSTED: Thursday, May 09, 2013

So as of last week it has been 3 whole years since this whole mess began.  John Miller is taking vacations to Las Vegas, and dumped another $15,000.00 into his piece of crap 4-runner so he could join this new car club called No Regrets.  I hope these guys in this club realize who they are letting in.  This man has done nothing but lie to us, he stole our money, and he basically vandalized our car.  He sold the motor and transmission, he sold the T-tops, and then left it outside in the weather.  So our original car is a rusted, destroyed heap.  This "second" camaro that he claims was purchased with our money to be completed as our car is still in pieces according to the painter Danny, who rarely answers our calls anymore.  We still have not been given a title for this "second" car, so I am beginning to doubt it even has a title at all. My only recourse at this point is to pray that Karma can show John how his actions affect people.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.  My attorney is already doing all he can, but since this guy is dodging the government, and not filing taxes because of all the liens already against him (there are like 5 - 8 of them) I dont know how much my attorney can really get accomplished.

STILL NO CAR

AUTHOR: FedUpWithTheift - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 03, 2013

So as listed in the title of this report John Miller was the co-president of Infamous Toys car and truck club....well he dumped them now too.  He has moved on to some club called No Regrets.  I know nothing about this club other than John had to spend $15,000.00 on his four runner to get in.  Strange thats the exact amount we paid him to complete our car THREE YEARS AGO!!!  Hard for me to believe a person like John Miller...who STEALS $15,000.00 from a hard working blue collar couple....can say he has no regrets.  Just tells me he doesnt regret stealing our money and lieing to us for years.  We still have no car, no refund, and no contact from this man, and now the painter is unreachable too.  I can only hope that this new car club sees what this person is really all about BEFORE he steals from them or hurts their reputation in the car community.

Update#4

Well, all of the hope we had with the painter seems to have gone away.  According to the painter, John sued him over some kind of a work/insurance thing...I have no idea what exactly, or even who to believe.  But because of this lawsuit or whatever it is the painter says he has taken on 2 or 3 full time jobs and that his pay is garnished so badly that he can barely survive, and because of this he cant work on our car.  He says he works 16 hr or more a day 7 days a week, and he doesnt have any money to get the parts John never supplied to work on the car.  We managed to get John to give the painter a set of door poppers that he "claims" he purchased for our car, but the set is used, and it is incomplete, and it is just junk he found on ebay or craigslist.  John tried to tell me he spent $5000.00 on the motor for our car, but I know that was a lie.  He paid $800.00 to have an old 350 rebuilt...I have seen it, and I can tell you it is not anywhere even close to $5000.00 worht of motor.

So here we sit...still no money...still no car...and John sittin pretty makin a killing (all cash under the table), with his own personal "customized" vehicles he spent everyone elses hard earned money on.

Well...the more I find out about this whole situation, the more twisted it gets.  Come to find out the guy we paid, John Miller, hasnt lifted a single finger still!!  The poor painter that he got involved in all of this is the only honest person we have come across at all.  The painter actually gives a crap about doing what is right and getting our car done.  We are still stuck waiting for John to give the painter our money so that he can get the parts to finish the car.  The parts John said were already purchased, and even installed, and come to find out he was lying.  It seems every word that has ever come out of John's mouth has been a lie and whats really sad is that John has abdolutely zero remorse for what he has done.  He is still blaming us, and even went as far as to say that this report was "ruining his kids lives at school".  Thats not fair to put that on me.  I am not the one who started a business and took peoples money and then spent it on myself, never even starting on the project people paid me for.  I have also discovered that I am not the only person having this issue with John.  Others have been fighting to get their cars and money back too.  It is just so expensive to get an attorney and go thru the long drawn out process for a judgement that we would probably have a hell of a time collecting since John appears to know how to hide all his money and assests.  Someday Karma will make the world right again as it always does, but in the meantime it just sucks.

More info recv'd shortly after last update

AUTHOR: FedUpWithTheift - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, April 02, 2012

About 2 hrs after my first update to this report, we received a message from John.  He is having an issue with the painter he has subcontracted the car to.  He is going to go check on the painter and the progress this week I believe.  Hopefully this will mean a few pictures to put our minds at ease as to where the car is so far with progress.  I certainly hope this painter either holds true to his craft and paints the car correctly, or is honest and tells John he cant get it done and lets us go pick up the car and be done with all of this.  More updates as they are received will be added.

New news...finally!

AUTHOR: FedUpWithTheift - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, April 02, 2012

We have finally made contact with John.  He sent a text last weekend.  He wasnt exactly polite, but at least he finally responded.  It took a lot of pushing and we had to contact his step dad, and anyone else we could find that knows him.  He claims his company is gone, and that we cannot sue him as an individual.  He threatened to file for a restraining order against us because we keep calling him.  He also claims he can prove in court that he has completed work on our car.  My only concern is that if it can be proven in court that there has been work done on the car, then why not skip all of that and just show US like we have asked?  So far thats all we have gotten, but I am trying to hang on to the last shred of hope that we may actually be on the downhill side of this big mess.
