Key Hyundia in Milford, Ct. Liars! Milford Connecticut

I currently have poor credit. This is my fault but I ran into financial problems several years back and I have been trying to repair my credit ever since. I currently drive a 2006 sedan and owe money on it still. I went into Key Hyundia on 07/24/2013, hoping to get a 2006 SUV.

A Sales Associate by the name of Rich collected all my information. We even test drove the SUV. I liked it. I was at the dealership for 3 hours. They asked me for a $1,500 deposit since this is what I told Rich I had to put down. I gave them the money in cash. I also thought they would be paying off what I owed on my current car to get out of the loan on that one. 

I was excited because I felt this meant I got approved for the loan. Rich even told me to call my insurance to put the SUV on my policy. He asked me to have my insurance company fax over an insurance card to show proof of coverage. He asked me to come back 10:00AM the next day. I told him I couldn't. I have to work. Then he gave me an attitude. I told him I can't skip work for this. So I told him I would come in the afternoon around 3:00.

The next day, I went to the dealership with my wife and step-daughter. It is hard enough to take a little girl to a dealership since she gets bored easily and can be hard to handle. Rich talked to us for a few minutes and told me to wait. The Finance Manager was busy. I waited 2 hours. More time wasted. 

My Dad came too. He wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. Finally, they called my wife and I into the finance office. The Manager said there is too much negative equity in my current car for a trade and more money down was needed. They wanted $3000 down. Basically, they were asking for an additional $1,500. I understand my credit is poor and I understand my current trade isn't worth much. 

They should have told me this on July 24th. The first day I went in this should have been told to me up front. They also had the nerve to take my money which I barrowed from a family member. They got my hopes up and then crashed them down. I almost cried and I told the Finance Manager forget it. There is nothing I can do and thanks for wasting my time. I walked out of the dealership. Luckily, I got my money back right away.

I was so angry. I looked at the SUV I was supposed to take home that day and then looked at my piece of junk car that I was suppose to turn in and I was disgusted. 

The next day. I sent a very detailed e-mail to the owner. Jill Mirriam. Of course, her Assistant e-mailed me back. I was even more frustrated and told the Assistant to have Jill call me directly and  not to hide behind her people in charge. Jill is on the radio all the time. Her motto is" I am a dealer for the people." It is more like, "I am a liar and misleader for the people."

The General Manager called me back the same day and offered me a 2003 SUV for $2000 down. This SUV was 3 years older then my car and had more mileage. Like seriously, are you people that dumb? I told him forget it. I told Jill in an e-mail that I would spread the word to my friends not to go to her dealership. 

They are wasting their time. Just like I did. Plus, my Sales Associate mislead me too. He was rude about the appointment time too. 

Key Hyundia sucks!
