I have had two terrible experiences with KGB deals.I first purchased a voucher for a Brazilian Blow-dry at Gallery of Beauty in Hounslow. When I went there, I was told that because I don't have standard European hair (it was a Polish salon with Polish staff), it would take longer to do my hair and so I should rebook for the following day. The manager even offered me a space in their staff car park as a goodwill gesture. When I arrived the next day, there was no space in the car park. I called and noone answered, so went driving around to find a a space costing over 9 for the amount of time I was anticipating it to take.

When I arrived, the salon manager said that they could not do my hair as I was late, but could pay up an extra 30 to have it done. I felt that they were just trying to make extra cash on top of the voucher, so turned down her kind offer. She told me to contact KGB deals for a refund, but of course this had to be authorised by the salon, which was then refused. KGB deals offered me a voucher for the equivalent amount in 'KGB kash' which I was reluctant to use following this experience.I did not learn, however and went on to purchase a deal for highlights, trim, wash and blow-dry at 228 Salon in Wimbledon.

I called every day for two weeks to book my appointment but noone ever answered. I tried to book online but the system took a month to even acknowledge my signing up. I eventually managed to book an appointment but it was cancelled the day before, claiming that my stylist was sick. I rebooked for a few weeks later, once again I received a text message stating that my stylist was sick. I called to rebook but was told that there were no more appointments available before the voucher would run out and so I would have to contact KGB deals for a refund. I did this and week later received an abrupt email informing me that as the 10 day refund period had passed, they were unable to offer me a refund full stop.

I now have 34 in KGB kash that I am too afraid to use, and another 29 that I have wasted on a service I never received, with KGB deals refusing to refund me!I am furious at the terrible customer service, the salons who were unable to fulfill their sides of the deal and myself for falling for this rubbish twice. Having said that; I have used Groupon many times and continue to recommend friends to Groupon (amongst other group-buying sites)as I have found their customer service to be second to none. I have never had a problem redeeming a voucher or obtaining a refund, in fact if you are unable to use a voucher by the end date, they will refund the value to you, simples! Can't work out why KGB deals are so dodgy but I have certainly learned my lesson and am keen to inform others to avoid them!
