I went to the dealership on Alameda and I came as close as I'll ever want to come again to getting screwed by strangers. Questions are the most important advice I can give to other potential customers. Ask alot of questions, don't sign until you see the blue book value that you look up for yourself. This sounds like an amazing deal but it is superficial.

I actually heard another dealer tell a man when he ask that the $199 down was just to reel you in. After being told this the man got up and walked away without a word. I wish we had. We were here for almost 5 hours. It took 2 hours for them to inform us that our true down payment was $1500 and that we only had 6 weeks to come up with it. It doesn't seem like much but in December I'm due to give birth and have already been put on medical leave for the next 2 months. We are relying solely on my fiancee's paychecks for income. So on top of rent and household bills plus car insurance plus last minute baby things, they want that we should give them another $1200.

We sat down and tried to figure out a way to do this after the guy kept pushing and showing us how we could pay it off, even though he had all the paperwork showing the money that we would have in that 6 weeks. He could clearly see that we would be unable to pay our other bills or just them. We desperatly tried to find a way and once we thought we had it covered, we sat down to wait for him to handle another customer.

At this point we were in the late half of a 3rd hour, he asked us to try to call our insurance to get our coverage changed or else we'd be paying another $25 for one night of insurance. So I made the call, had it switched and was still on the phone with the company when he came up and surprised me with another requirement. He asked if I'd had full coverage or a minimum $500 put on the deductible. At this point I really wanted to ask if he had any other surprises for me that he wanted to pop out. So once more I did as he ask and added that when my insurance soared to $985 for six months I'd had enough.                                                                                I told my car insurance to change it all back because I wasn't getting this car. He continued to pressure us with new insurance companies and shop around for a new quote and here's some people I know and love. Blah Blah Blah HORSESH*T!!!!!!!!!!!                                                                          And something else useful "A little above blue book" is very untrue. I don't consider $4000 above to be a little especially when the same model of car on Kelley Blue Book had more miles, a windshield without a crack
