KLMN Readers Services Sells you magazines with a sob story at your door...then fails to send you a magazine Chesapeake Virginia

What a wonderful scam this is.  You find an ex-con to show up at people's doors begging them to buy a magazine subscription to help them get their life back together.  It sounds like an opportunity to really help somone out.  So I cave.  I write a check for just under fifty dollars.  This all happens in July.  

Now...fast forward a few months to October.  I still haven't seen my magazine.  I'm confused.  I go back and check my bank account.  Lo and behold, the check was cashed and cleared my bank within 48 hours of the orders.  I'm even more confused.  I paid.  KLMN took my money.  Yet...I have no magazines to show for my trouble.  Where I come from...when you take someone's money and give them nothing in return...well...we call that theft.  You stole money from me.  Plain and simple.

Okay...so maybe I'll try to call the company.  Oh...their office hours are from 8am ET until 4pmET...you know...when most of the country is still working...and unable to call.  What a lovely way to NOT have to talk to unhappy customers.  So I left a message.  I will be truly shocked if anyone actually calls me back.  

So...I hedge my bet and put in a written complaint as well...Not planning on hearing much from that either.

So...out of curiousity, I read the FAQ.  The company says it may take 120 days to receive my first issue?  What is this...1948?  It takes seconds to process a request from one COUNTRY to another let alone between two businesses here on American soil.  120 days??? That's bull.  It doesn't...and shouldn't take that long.  Not unless KLMN services is failing to hold up their end of the bargain.  What takes so long?  Why so much transfering of paper checks?  You processed my check electronically within 2 days...How hard is it to electronically transfer some money to the clearinghouse and send them an electronic statement of what magazines were ordered by what people?  Same goes for the publishers.  120 days my foot.  

Your company is a joke.  Your owner is a joke.  Your 120 days is a flat-out, bold face lie.  You owe me money, and I intend to follow up with every agency available in my state to prevent you from ever selling magazines door to door again. I will start local (city hall) and work my way up to State.  Your operation is a scam.  You steal, you lie, you cheat.  Plain and simple.
