After working with my personal trainer Rob a couple times I felt uncomfortable going to that gym. During one of our sessions he made a negative comment about one of the areas I was working on so I quickly snapped back about how he wasnt so in shape himself, which lead to him showing me pictures of himself half naked to prove how hot he used to be. He would say suggestive comments to me, text me at night & even call me. I answered my phone thinking he wanted to schedule our next session, only find out he wanted to talk about everything but training. When spotted me at the gym he touched me & looked at me in ways that made me uncomfortable. Since Ive never worked with a trainer before I told myself there was nothing wrong with what he was doing, he is a professional. I decided to ignore his inappropriate behavior in hopes that it would stop. All the creepy stuff aside, Rob was very unprofessional in other ways. Rob would constantly talk on his cell phone or text during our limited time together. I would show up to a scheduled training session only to have to wait on him for up to 20 minutes. I work full time & have kids, my time is precious. He was never fully engaged in our sessions & never seemed to care about my needs. He told me he would not do ab workouts with me, you do those at home he said. I pay him to train me, my abs were the specific target area I wanted to work on. If I knew what to do at home I wouldnt be paying him in the first place. He would also show me pictures of his fancy new apartment & tell me how expensive it all was, very tacky.

I later had the pleasure of working with a trainer named Wes. He didnt put his hands on me, not once, he never called or sent me texts. We was fully engaged in our session the entire time & even proceeded to check up on me once our paid session was over. It was refreshing to work with a professional & it was eye opening at the same time. I realized how terrible my previous sessions had been. The way I had been treated border-lined on harassment. So after avoiding the gym for two weeks in fear of seeing Rob the creeper/trainer, I decided to go cancel my membership, this was less than 30 days after sign up. I went in & found out not only was I expected to eat the total $528.70 that I had already paid LA, I was also expected to pay $470 to cancel my contract with creeper/trainer, Rob. Now, lets get to the contract. Let me start by saying the misunderstanding in this matter is completely my fault for not reading the contract. After sitting at LA for over an hour & a half I was ready to get the sign up process over with, my kids were hungry & I was tired. So I put my trust in my trainer & listened to what he verbally told me rather than reading what the contract actually stated. I signed my name on the dotted lines & left without reading a thing. Rob didnt act as though I had just signed a contract at all, it seemed more like just a casual, no big deal agreement that just stated what I was paying & when. He didnt mention terms or cancellation fees at this time. Rob flat out lied to my face about what I was signing. He asked me how long I wanted to train with him, I told him I didnt need a trainer for long, I just wanted to get comfortable with the machines & the gym so I could eventually start working out on my own: Two months max were my exact words. When I went to cancel I found out Rob put on the contract that I was signed up to work with him for A YEAR this causing the $470 cancellation fee. Again, I should of read it before signing it lesson learned.

I am out $528.70 for a membership that lasted less than a month & they expected pay them more money. When I met with Kamini, the manager, I didnt bring up the way I was treated by Rob at first. I simply said I thought since I was cancelling so soon I was entitled to a refund, not a full refund, but a fair amount. Once I found out I was expected to pay $470 to get creeper/trainer off my case I brought up the way Id been treated by him & told them I wasnt paying them anything to cancel with them. Kamini was not concerned with the way I was treated at her gym, all she cared about was not giving me a refund. She sat down at that table with me knowing d**n well I wasnt getting my money back no matter what my sob story was, simply because I signed the contract. I told her that I didnt care what the contract stated, I expected some customer service & asked to speak to someone else. She laughed in my face. Some harsh words were exchanged by me to her, which I regret. Kamini is terrible at customer service, but she is great at not giving you your money back or the time of day. She will simply state the facts: You are an adult & you signed the contract, I cannot help you. She waived no fees, gave no apologies & had no sympathy.

Aside from my trainer/management issues: the machines are always taken, the men & staff look at you as though you are a piece meat. This gym is a joke so is the staff.
