I am genuinely sorry that you had such a bad experience.  However,  I feel that your report is harsh and doesn't full speak the whole truth.

I did the Landmark Forum about 12 years ago.  Then about 6 years ago I went back and completed the Advanced course, communications 1 & 2.  They were amazing for me. I have assisted in the Landmark as well, which means I have helped in the background during courses.   I will tell you that Gale was my least favorite leaders and she can rub some the wrong way if you don't understand where she is coming from.

I would like to touch on the restroom issue for this was actually a profound moment in my life in the Forum.  I was confronted after using the restroom, but honestly I was going a lot.   The reason, I would get bored and think to myself what they were saying at the moment did not pertain to me.  When I was confronted walking back into class, it all fell together for me.  It is about "integrity" I made a commitment to stay in the class and I was deciding without fulling "knowing" what was important or not to come and go.  You may have genuinely been using the restroom and that would have been ok to do so, but they are trying to help people by confronting/asking them if they notice a lot of breaks being taken.  So, you might have went straight into anger instead of inner reflection.  I was annoyed at first, but after I thought about it, it became such a life changing moment for me.  That bathroom intervention, was a breakthrough!  Stay true to integrity at all times. 

I am not sure when you decided to leave, however, like you I wanted to take notes as well.  But in the end you don't need them for it is more about self-growth and epiphanies then study and note taking.  It would be great if you were more accurate as well in your description they have breaks, you are allowed water in the room etc.  I am curious to see if you actually completed the course?

The Landmark has helped me in my business, and to have closer relationships with my family and children.  I don't have much time but I couldn’t help but to speak up for your comments are not all correct and I have witnessed personally thousands that have had breakthroughs in human behavior and have powerful wonderful shifts.  It is very rare for someone to drop out and now that I am a graduate you can usually see why. 

I know Gail and she is extraordinary.  What you are reacting to is your own reflection.  The Forum allows you to see very clearly why you act and react the way you do.  Obviously it isn't for everyone and they state that very clearly.  In this case, it isn't right for you.  For a very large portion of the population it is a good fit.  Just celebrate - you are special and know that this program isn't a good fit for any of your close friends either.

First of all I think you have got it way wrong! if you believe that you got a fair treatment from these idiots then you are crazy as them! Secondly I was threatned by them everytime i went to the bathroom they would ask me why are you leaving? I would reply i have to use the bathroom.....they say you just went an hour ago. The so-called forum leader was a woman named Gale Le Gassick. Extremely rude, narrowminded, arrogant! Someone had stood up to her in a conversation and try to question her....the minute that person tried she had them removed and immediately started a private conversation with 3 other people! WTF is that about? Also why are you not allowed to take notes? Afterall this is a seminar of some sort right? We are allowed to take notes and ask questions. In this case there was none of it allowed! If you tried to stand up to these idiots they have you removed or kick you out! Esp. Ed, a creepy looking tranny named liza among a few others. Regardless these people are all nuts!

If you got anything from these people than i feel really sorry for you! Wasting all that money for what? Crap that you will never use in society.

Then they tell you to bring more people so they can be brainwashed like you! Hell no!

Ill pass!

As someone who did the landmark forum program and got value from it, i'm scratching my head at a few of the things you wrote. For one thing, there were plenty of breaks to eat and drink. For another, there was no issue with going to the bathroom any time i wanted. 

Also, i never felt in the slightest like myself or anyone in the program was insulted or mocked. It almost feels like you did your course in a different universe from where i did mine, or that you have some sort of personal beef here - another reason I tend to suspect this is because most of your report seems to consist of hyperbolic insults rather than any real constructive criticism of the program.

My experience was that the forum skillfully helped me notice where I'd reached premature conclusions about my life and the people in it, and in particular where Id given up on dreams that I'd had. It was definitely eye-opening, and nothing like what your experience seemed to be.
