 Bought this adjustable bed from Sterling Mattress factory, in southern ill. , exactly 9 months ago. The power base started tripping circuit breakers the first week i had it. I called Sterling they did nothing. June 30 i called Leggett & Platt and they determined over the phone that the motor & circuit assembly was bad. The cust. service rep told me they would ship a new assembly to an authorized service provider w/in 48 hours (wow) sounded good.

Ten (10) days later i called was put on hold for 10 mins. so i hung up and called back and was told that the item "was out of stock" .... ok 19000 employess, 130 manufacturing facility's, in 18 countries, and they don't have the most important part for the most popular item they sell in stock. So now their going to send it again, but now they don't have a service rep in my state!!!!! So she tells me they found somebody that agreed to do it and they are located 130 miles away.

Still waiting waiting for a call sleepng on my couch cause my $2600 bed is dead in the raised position. P.S. I think the adjustable base is very poorly constructed (kind of wobbly) and i good romp on the bed would probably bend or break it. DO NOT BUY A LEGGETT & PLATT ADJUSTABLE BED IT IS CHEAPLY MADE WAY OVERPRICED PIECE OF JUNK. Maybe I will try and get ahold of Karl Glassman (Pres) and let him know what i think of the product and service his co. provides !
