I brought a 52" LCD TV in feb.18,2008 for $2,674.95, I put it on flex pay where I pay $416.65 a month and this month is my last month to pay "YAHOO" or so I thought, well it is now JULY, 27,2008 and my tv broke today yes broke! In the right corner of the tv is a spider web crack not on the body of the tv but the screen, oh did I mention that I still have the clinging plastic on the tv there are no scrates or any thing on this set so when I called LG yesterday to get my set fixed because I knew that I have a 1 yr labor and 1yr parts warranty I thought at the most I would be without a tv for 2-3 weeks but was shocked to hear that my set was not covered by the warranty because the damage was called customer neglect because my boyfriend moved the tv to unplug it from the wall because it was lightning outside bad the lights in the house had blinked out once already so I was told that his hand must have pushed in the corner when he moved it. :( thats how I felt when I was told that I still had to pay for a tv that I would no longer be able to watch ever again. I tried talking to the supervisor and was put on hold so many times and finally was told that it was not covered. So what am I supposed to do now I was so careful with this set as I am with all my things I still have the clinging film on my notebook cover as well and I have had that since july, 2007, and I got mad when my co- workers took the film off my cell phone screen. This being said I take very good care of my things and I thought I was doing the right thing so my tv wouldn't get hit by the lightning. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should do next please let me know I am so stund I don't know what to do.

LG is right. Screens don't just crack all by themselves, and NO company warrants their products against consumer damage. This is NOT LG's fault. Your boyfriend owes you a new TV. Next time, use a surge protector between your TV and the outlet ( you can get a good one for around $20 ), then you won't have to unplug it during storms. And, you'll probably be in the market for a new boyfriend once you tell him to hit the stores for a new TV.
