This fanmily owned fruit stand makes several claims that are FLAT OUT LIES.
They claim to offer you farm fresh fruit grown on their farm. however all the fruit sold at the log barn fruit stand is collected by growers everywhere but there. these suppliers are promised to be paid for their fruit after it is sold, (They are promised a commission from sales) if the fruit does not spoil they will be paid. Several complaints have been launched regaurding not being paid by Fred and Iris and Kimberly who run this crooked operation.
All of the sauces that say log barn on them and claim to be home made are lies these products are bought at the bulk food outlets in vernon and repackaged by the log barn as authentic home made.
all the gifts you see there for sale are all bought by them in the off season at places like san fransico, as well as liquidation world and sold to all the unsusspecting tour bus visitors and out of town folks who have no idea of this scam, the items are marked up as much as 80 % of it's actual cost...this is outragious!
all of the native art that is sold there also works on a commission basis and i personally know 6 natives that were promised payment only to be told that their items were stolen in break ins at the barn and were never paid for their crafts.
the history that the web site talks of is a complete lie as well.. this family started out selling corn cobs on their farm and erected a barn to steakl your money from you and decieve you with their babble about being a religious family.
this family has a history of sexual abuse as well as animal abuse violence and a lenghthy criminal past . three of the 4 children have had numerious encounters with the law including wepons charges, armed standoffs and possesion of cocaine and marijuana right on that very soil that they are claiming to be sacred grounds... with two divorces and several court battles these people are anything but church goers.
I will attach some public notices that are availible to anyone one the internet to give you a tiny peak into the real family run fruit stand.
next time you stop in check out what i am informing you of now. ask mr Alfred Isaac or Iris Isaac or daughter Kimberly about their haritage and life of crime and fraud?
Nothing is what it seems at the log barn fruit stand...where there history is kept neatly under the rug and their hands are always willing to hold you wallet.

PS the church that they have been booted out of several time is also very disapointed with the Isaacs as well. THESE PEOPLE ARE CLAIMING TO BE MENONITES

We got sick eating at the log barn 1912 and It would seem that the reports previously reported on this site are 100% accurate ! the jury is out and here is the verdict...........
Vernon, BC, March 21, 2011: On
October 27, 2010, at the Vernon Provincial Court, Alfred Isaac pled guilty to violating two counts of section 5(1) of the Food and Drugs Act, one count of section 4(1) of the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, one count of section 8 of the Meat Inspection Act, and one count of section 17(a) of the Canada Agriculture Products Act.
The Honourable Judge Chapman assessed a fine of $11,000 against Mr. Isaac for the following:
selling an unfrozen ready-to-eat salmon product that was required to be frozen for microbiological safetynot displaying a net quantity on a packaged productmisrepresenting a meat product produced in Alberta as coming from the Okanagan Valleymarketing an Alberta-sourced meat product in BC that was not from a federally registered plantmarketing in Alberta a quantity of BC apple juice which was not from a federally registered establishment Mr. Isaac markets food products at his business, Log Barn Food Co., near Armstrong, BC.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) enforces federal legislation including the Food and Drugs Act, the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, the Canadian Agricultural Products Act, and the Meat Inspection Act, and their regulations. The CFIA safeguards food, animals and plants, which enhances the health and well-being of Canada's people, environment and economy.

It is the intention of the Log Barn 1912 to defend itself from defamation, not to censor criticism. The author of the above statement, Trev, is in the process of being charged with libelous activity against the Log Barn 1912 for postings on this and similar websites. This individual, whom is known to the business, has been publishing false and defamatory remarks glozed as facts in order to damage the integrity, reputation and operation of the Log Barn 1912. In addition to being charged with Libel (from libelous activities starting July 2008 forward), the author, Trev, has been convicted of: Aggravated Assault, Battery, Sexual Assault and Sexual Assault of a minor.

I would like to say AMEN to Trev's report. Everything he states in his report is absolutly true. He just didn't give everything. Fred and Iris Issac also like to wash there moldy sausage and then sell it to the public. They also will fill the fruit baskets with rotten fruit on the bottom and put good stuff on the top so they look nice. They never pay their employees on time. You have to hunt them down for your money. They use the fact that most of their business is tourists and can't come back to them and complain. Most of the locals won't shop there.
They also like to abuse there animals. I have been there when it is 40 degrees outside and the goats had no food and WATER. When there son David's dog bit a little girl at the Log Barn they hid the dog from Dog Control so it couldn't be put down. The article was on the front page of our local newspaper.
The list goes on and on for these crooks. It seems that too many people are afraid of them. I think the community should stand together and close this business down. They are giving Armstrong a bad name. We need to make a stand against these crooks. No more bad business.
