A few months ago, I had car trouble at a gas station. My car would not start and thankfully two lowellians were nice enough to help me out and jump start my car and try to see what the problem was. neither me or the two young fellows didn't know what was the problem. so the Lowell Fleet Towing Co. was there and offered to assist us. He told us that it'll only cost us $40.00 to tow anywhere in lowell at anytime. So we took advantage of that since it was almost 1 am.

Two weeks later, my car had broke down again right infront of blockbuster. So we called the Lowell Fleet again and the man charged us $60.00 by accident. So he said we'd have to go to the building the next morning and get our $20.00 back. And we went back the next morning, sat in the car, and called Lowell Fleet and asked about our situation and she didn't even know the answer. She hesitated quite a bit. So i said forget it, i'll come in and talk to you about this in person. She seemed shocked. So i went in, and she comes out with another employee who was tall and muscular, thinking he was going to intimidate us. telling us that the second time our car was towed, it was the right price because it was after midnight. that did not make no sense when the first time our car was towed, it was 1 am. and when i showed the guy the receipt, he just said he didn't know who the guy was that towed car and signed the receipt. how fake is that? how do you not know your employees?

this company is a rip off and a fake. i will never have my car towed from this company again.

Lowell Fleet

AUTHOR: ben - ()

POSTED: Sunday, April 28, 2013

This company is an absolute disgrace, coming from someone who lives in Lowell there unnecessarily rude way over the top. Charging prices i will admit are standard however there general lack of compassion and quality is obvious and completely unnecessary. Until companies like this are out of Lowell  it will never be a pleasure for anyone to live, people like them make it an unpleasant place to be in. I would recommend almost any other company over this one this is coming from someone who has been towed 4 times this year and this was the first by them completely unprofessional last company i would ever recommend for anything.

LFT Suck

Got my car towed from these A holes. They charged 130$ and the guy that I was paying was insisting that I was 20$ short (I had counted the money out before I handed it to him) and demanded more money. The boss was no help. I was verbally loud after that air head tried hustling me for more money. They refused to tell me where my vehicle was. This company is as bad as they get. Unprofessional monkeys who try to intimidate customers. I wish that I had the ability to shut this company down. They are a complete rip off and should never be used or recommended. They had also scratched the hood of my car when it was being towed. You think that they would ever acknowledge that they did anything wrong?Of course not. LTF go Fuc* yourselves.

Unprofessional and Unorganized

It's not the customer fault if your equipment is cheap or expensive it's still your obligation to tow a car without damaging it and doing it without having to change the price as you please.  Seems like this towing company needs to retrain their employees  on how to tow and how to treat their customer with repect and dignity.    LoL!!!  Hmm!!  i wonder how these guys got their contract from the city of lowell.       LOL!!!!!    knock!! knock!!!!,  who's there? it's me!! Mr. ripoff (LFT)  LoL!!!!

So its quite clear that this gentlemen is illiterate and misunderstood the report.

You wrote .. "The reason you got the first tow for $40 as you clearly stated "...so Lowell Fleet Towing was there and offered to assist us". We were already there, no need to get called out, so no need to charge for a the drive to you."

--"We were already there, no need to get called out, so no need to charge for the drive to you."

Obviously you have NOT read the first few sentences in my report. To make it easier for you, I said, "He told us that it'll only cost us $40.00 to tow anywhere in lowell at anytime. So we took advantage of that since it was almost 1 am." Have you read that? It says it'll only cost fourty dollars to tow ANYWHERE in lowell at ANYTIME. Why would the driver tell us that? You should really have a meeting with your other employees about how you go about towing cars for paying customers and the public will READ this and continue to misunderstand your company's words.

" I think its unfortunate that people can go online and try to ruin a good company with unfounded "facts" .."

I just state the facts, my friend. And this is what RipOff Report.com is here for. Maybe your just simply dumbfounded.

Proud LFT employee.

First let me say that $60 for a tow tow is by NO means a ripoff. First, you have a truck that ranges from $35,000 to $85,000. Second we have to pay insurance for our truck, the car being towed, and any property damage. Then we get to pay our business taxes, then IFTA or fuel taxes. We then need to get authorization to tow which means we need to pay for ICC numbers, DOT number and get MASS DPU stickers. And we have not yet been able to get a profesional operator to work for free so we also pay the driver, his health insurance and phone bill. With all of this over head to pay which does not include fuel bills I would have to say that $60 for a tow is a deal. The reason you got the first tow for $40 as you clearly stated "...so Lowell Fleet Towing was there and offered to assist us". We were already there, no need to get called out, so no need to charge for a the drive to you. I think it is unfortunate that you failed to see that the first time we gave you a deal because we were already there, also, I feel that it is really pretty sad that you felt the need to publicly bash our company when you were already given this explanation once before. Again I would like remind you that a $60 tow is not a ripoff and $40 is the deal of the century. How is it that you got ripped off again? I think its unfortunate that people can go online and try to ruin a good company with unfounded "facts" and contradict themselves while fooling others into believing you. We work hard to serve the community that we LIVE in and are proud that we have such a large and HAPPY customer base.
