Took my 2000 Corvette into the dealership (Lupient Chevrolet) on July 30, 2014 and asked them to check on 2 issues, bogging on accelaration and possible bad battery or electrical short. They recommended blowing out injectors and replacing MAF sensor. They reported battery issue was due to map light in "on" position. I accepted blowing out injectors. Total charge $$351.34. They charged $67.94 for telling me my map light was on. They charged $117.93 for the cleaning and $134.88 labor for the injectors. Tax plus a $25.00 environment fee, total $351.34. It took me an hour to remove the Mass Air Flow senor and clean it and re-install it, and it works and accelarates perfectly. The dealership would have replaced the MAF for a cost of an additional $500-$600. A reason people should not go to dealerships! This is a classic example of a rip-off.
