Magic jack is the biggest rip off that is doing business still out there. 1st they say they give 30 days trial with no billing and in 15 days they bill card. second there are no live operators for phone company. Third a refund takes 2-3 months. It has no # button and 911 is useless as you need to tell operater your address. No computer 24 hours? Do not get as if emergency you have nothing or if cable or phone is down so is your "Never stop working Magic Jack". Same money you can get Vonage or local cable company for 25.00 a month and have all feature4s of home landline except you need broadband on all times too but computer does not have to be. just xcable or phone line(DSL or cable Modem). It is a joke and if need help with paying phone state or most pay half of local phone even if from cable company like comcast or verizon who take off 14.00 out of 25.00 a month off my bill due to disability.

I don't understand your statement that it has no # button. Magic jack is a device that connects your phone to your computer. It has no buttons at all. You provide the telephone seperately. If your phone does not have a # button (which would be weird) that has nothing to do with magic jack.

My husband and I bought a Magic Jack for our office, and it works great, much better than Vonage. I know a few people who had Vonage and the voice quality was so bad that they stopped using it, and Vonage charged them a disconnect fee. All the people with complaints about Magic Jack....all I can think of is that maybe it works better in some parts of the country than in others. But I do know many people who are very happy with it.
