Matos Auto Towing & Transport is a bully company, they came to our office building tow 1 of my cars without checking if this is the right to to my car! the office building give me premmision to park the car in the parking lot and they have decided to to the car. Matos Auto Towing & Transport is a rip off company they will tow anyone car without checking the facts. this company call me with a bill of 4,000 after 1 year. the thing is that they took the car sold the car in aouctiion and now they want more money when i said to them you took my car sold it and now you want more money? they say yes!! i ask why? they said becouse we can!!! this is way to use helpless people who don't have any money. now i don't have car... don't have money.... and have collection report under my name. the whole idea with this company they use so many names so you can see. they don't worth the service is bad. they over charge pepole there is other towing company that will charge you much less do not use them and if you do...... so you will pay extra and could be that this will happen to you. if its happen to you please email me or respond me i want file a group lawsuit agaist Matos Auto Towing & Transport

You may not like it, but it is perfectly legal for them to do this. They towed your vehicle then stored it. After a period of time the property is considered to be abandonded. They can then claim a vehicle lien and sell the car, but the original storage fee is still in effect and needs to be paid. The amount of money they recieved from selling your vehicle DOES NOT go to cover the storage fees associated with the tow. You may think its a scam but they are WELL within their legal rights to do this. As the property became abandonded, THEY became the LEGAL owners and could do with the property as they see fit. Still doesnt change the fact that you owe them for the original tow and the associated storage fees.
People are pretty touchy when it comes to their vehicles. As such they never think they have done anything wrong. That means these tow companies HAVE to follow both the letter and spirit of the law. It wouldnt matter if you had "permission". If you did not have the approved sticker/paperwork in the vehicle then your vehicle is available for towing away. Then you WAIT almost a year??? Im guessing you pretty much forgot all about that vehicle and only NOW are having to pay for the situation. Its not very cool, and its a tad s** but it is the law. If you do not believe me, then this is ALL information you can look up on the web.
