Merry Maids LEFT MY HOUSE A MESS!!!! Lantana Florida

I have never utilized a cleaning company before but I just spent every penny I had on a new home! I was so excited about my first home!! However, the house wasn’t treated very nice and needed a really good deep clean.

My mother-in-law agreed to pay for a maid service to come out and clean. I found Merry Maids online and called them. I spoke with a gentleman named Rocky who was extremely understanding on what exactly my needs were. I gave him the square footage of my house and a list of everything I needed to be cleaned. He said no problem and quoted me a price. He provided me the maximum amount that would be charged to my Mother In Law’s credit card which was $200. However, he felt the job would be $160.

The maids came while I was at work so after work I headed over to see how everything looked…………

First, I noticed it did not smell like one cleaning product in my house. They did tell me their products are “green” so I let that go. I walked into my bathroom and they did not even wipe down the track the shower doors sit in. They asked me to remove the doors prior if I wanted it clean. SO I DID!! And they didn’t even wipe it with a rag never mind scrub it! I ran a piece of toilet paper across the runner and dirt was all over it! You could see swipe marks on the mirror in there too!

Second, I went into a room and noticed the closet wasn’t swept out. So I ran my finger across the rod where cloths are hung, and to my surprise, a HUGE chunk of dust fell from it!

Third, one of the bedrooms just was not swept or moped. The shelves in the closet still had dead ants and dust on them!

Fourth, all corners of my home had piles of dust.

Fifth, in the kitchen.. The outside of my fridge was neglected, the cabinets clearly were not done well as there were still chunks of food in them, and there was dust hanging from the entrance.  

Sixth, the cleaning company told me they don’t usually do laundry rooms or garages. I asked them to add it to my list please. Did they sweep out those two areas? NOPE!

I could go on and on! I called Merry Maids to let them know what happened and the story just gets worse.

Rocky, the great gentleman I spoke to in the beginning was not in that day. So I spoke with Karen. Who was far from professional. Karen argued with me that my house was filthy and the cleaning crew clearly needed more time. Karen never called me when the crew was out there to report ANY of this. When I asked her why she didn’t, she had nothing to say. She suggested I pay more money for the crew to come back out tomorrow. She didn’t apologize for not calling me or anything. She said the crew took pictures and complained it was too big of a job. She told me it took them 4 hours. THEY DIDN’T EVEN MOP MY HOUSE!!!! WHAT DID THEY DO??? Karen could not answer that.

The conversation ended with no solution. Karen really didn’t care that I was upset and didn’t care that I would never be utilizing or recommending Merry Maid’s services again!

To WRAP this up with the most shocking news of all………….. THEY CHARGED MY MOTHER IN LAWS CARD $325!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Without her permission! Now, not only do their services suck, they conduct fraudulent activities!
