Michael Cargen - D&M Construction scam artist, fraud, ripoff, liar, dishonest, Bellmawr New Jersey

Michael Cargen RUINED our house. In Sept of 2006, we gave him a 75% deposit to build a second floor addition on our house.

Michael Cargen didnt start working on our house unitl Jan 2007! He never submitted our permits, like he was souppossed to. Now during this time I have 4 cihldren, including a newborn living in 1 bedroom, and NO washer and dryer.

When Michael Cargen did start working, he ripped the roof off of my house, and didnt cover up the floor and didnt show up for work for weeks at a time. During this time we had plenty of water damage to our downstairs. My Kitchen ceiling is falling down, there are holes in my walls from the sheetrock being so soft from all the water, there are cracks all along the ceilings and walls from all the water.

I tried to submit a claim to his insurance on Jan 20, but he was canceled due to NON PAYMNET of premium. When confronted with this he said oh no I paid it..they were lying to you.

It is now May, and he is know where near done..the framing isnt done, the siding, isnt done, no plumming, and he has no money to buy any of the materials he needs.

Yet, Michael and his wife, Danielle are buying a house this month.

When I ask " Where is all my money? WHy cant you buy these materials?" He screamed at me and told me " its none of my business, adn he doesnt have to answer to me.

My husband started screaming at him on the phone this past weekend because we havent been able to get ahold of him, whe nwe mentioned legal action, he threatened my husband by saying " you will never walk back into your house the way you came out, after I am done with you.

Im at my wits end. I dont know what to do.
