We hired Michelle Price for a 6-month social media marketing & joint venture marketing campaign. She promised us that she would actively promote our business within these social networking profiles she created, distribute our selected videos, develop and launch a joint venture marketing campaign and conduct two blog tours.

Michelle sent us a list of 101 social media networking profiles she created for us. Many were fake and some were deleted from inactivity making over half of those profiles useless. We believe some were fake because we were never able to log into those accounts with the specified logins she supplied. She never followed through with any type of active promotion for these profiles. She did not actively add others people to join these profiles to make it an effective form of marketing. We did not see any response from her social marketing efforts.

Michelle had us invest into a $2000 video distribution website called Traffic Geyser which she only promoted one video to three different video sites. We had over 15 videos for her to promote and too many video sites to count that she could have submitted the videos on.

Michelle connected us with one of her past associates to conduct the blog tours. We had to hire this person separately because Michelle would not conduct business with her blog tour associate due to a personal argument during our contract period.

Lastly, the joint venture marketing campaign was never started. She stopped returning our calls and e-mails when we wanted to get this started.
Overall, she did not comply with her own contract, she lied to us and there was zero return on investment.
BEWARE, RIP OFF!

Marketing & Relationships take time online or off but they can pay off big with patience - PBS is big

AUTHOR: Michelle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 24, 2009

I'm truly sorry that Chance and Loveology University chose this route. I could post a real rebuttal, but my track record speaks for itself, I score in the 99th percentile on Naymz - an online reputation management company, and it's 3rd party verified:
http://www.naymz.com/search/michelle/price/1574341

While there, you can see this endorsement among others:

N. J. - "Michelle Price has been a powerful contributor to my online success. She created my www.mainstreetmediasavvy.com blog and guided me to be a successful blogger who now attracts more than 12,000 unique visitors every month to learn about DIY publicity tips, success stories, resources, and more. I can't say enough good things about her Internet savvy, client skills, and follow through on commitments. Michelle rocks."

Results are beginning to happen, and connections are beginning to follow through - sometimes it takes time for relationships to pay off...for example, this just in from one of the "bogus" accounts (which by the way, 100 social networking accounts was really to help with SEO):

Hi Dr. Ava,

A PBS (Public Television) Lead for you.

S. G. [name removed for privacy] is a PBS producer who found you on Facebook, in the first profile that was set up in October - did he contact you through the one you are using now?:

Dr. Cadell,

I'm a producer with PBS interested in doing a story on faith and sexuality. Is that part of your expertise?

In the real world of marketing, nobody expects instant results. In the very early days of internet marketing, it was a novelty, but has since ceased to be "instant" unless the offer is very compelling.

In the real world, six months is a nanosecond. Online, it's the same.

Loveology University is a great resource, if only people knew (I thought). Dr. Ava has a mission to create more Love on the planet and that is one I can get on board with.

The Certified Loveologist & Love Coach program is also a high ticket item by anyone's standards, $2k - and up front I knew that it would be a relationship sell. However, with the current offer of a free 7 day preview, having to enter your credit card information up front, and then an automatic debit of $166 on Day 8, it's a hard sell, especially in these tough economic times. I've asked if the trial offer can be extended to 14 or even 30 days like other offers that are converting well online, but met resistance.

Also, I've gone to my relationships with other coaches who were willing to endorse the Love Coach certification, however, they told me two things: one, they wanted to see a syllabus and curriculum plan (because coach training has gotten very structured and formal) which isn't in the format they are wanting to see, and two, they thought the site was very confusing to navigate and that it wouldn't convert well.

Back to the drawing board. I am personally reaching out and making calls to develop relationships with influencers who can ultimately drive sales. Even though the six months are up, I am continuing on until I hit the right relationships that will pay off in new Love Coach enrollments.

Results are beginning to happen, and connections are beginning to follow through - for example, this just in:

EARLY CORRESPONDANCE - BEFORE WE BEGAN
Bottom line - if it were me, I'd go directly to my warm market that I already have relationships with and do joint ventures before I'd spend money advertising. These PPC and Affiliations are going to take time to work. It's lead generation marketing. To get most benefit, you have to have a solid follow up marketing system in place to turn the leads into sales (Love Coaching Students). Do you have something in place already?

Questions:
For the Pay Per Click
Do they know you are wanting to sell our 2k program? What was their answer if so? That is considered a "high ticket" item from a pay per click program I'm sure.

There are only two sides to the equation in internet selling. One is traffic (visitors) and the other is conversion (making sales, or acquiring subscribers for future marketing and sales). The proposal is for generating traffic. Essentially, you are buying traffic in hopes that it will generate leads, and ultimately sales.

Sales will happen one of a few ways like this - either your site has to convert the leads to sales simply by the words people read on the page they land on, or else you have to personally convert them to sales, or you have to have someone who can follow the leads up and sell them into the program. A 2k program generally won't convert from one visit to your site. So there needs to be follow up.

You have to have a process in place to convert the visitors that come. The upside from buying traffic is that traffic can come quickly, the downside is that if you stop the campaign, you will stop the flow of visitors. Important consideration is your process for turning visitors into coaching students. How long does it normally take for that to happen - do they usually need to talk to you or someone or do they just sign up on their own? You mentioned that some had come from a keynote - this is because they were targeted, they had seen you in person, and they have a synergistic business so they aren't the typical search engine user coming in cold from seeing an ad.

I think there is another way to accomplish your goal of enrolling people into your Love Coach program, and that is to go directly to your warm market, contacts, relationships and do joint ventures.

Affiliation Proposal:
What is the numerical goal for affiliates? Do you want 100, 50, 1000? How soon could you expect to have some on board? The BIG thing for affiliates is that you have a process for converting the people they send into sales, because they don't get paid until you do. And if they send you people, and they don't make sales, they will stop sending them and promote someone else.

Here is the BIG question - what is your plan to turn these visitors that show up either from PPC or Affiliate networks into paying clients?

Dr. Ava, you have to have a solid plan FIRST for how you are going to sell them into your program, especially if they are coming in cold from search engines and affiliates who don't know you.

Love and Light,
Michelle P.

Michelle apologized for not communicating with us for the last few weeks. She explained that her personal life has affected her business dramatically. She tells us in the e-mail that she is "1000% committed to getting [our] investment back as fast as possible." Michelle introduced us to a few people by e-mail that we could possibly do business with.

If all goes accordingly, we will recind this rip-off report.
