If you currently have a Mico Designs faucet or other plumbing product, this message is not for you. Unfortunately you are a victim and are out of luck!

If you are a retailer of plumbing proucts, please read below!!!

After building a new home in Louisiana in Sept of 2004 and having over $4500 of MICO plumbing products installed by our plumber, I was comfortable with the "lifelong warranty" associated with  these supposedly high end fixtures. Boy was I wrong!!!

After a six month ordeal of dealing with Maureen first then Pete in customer service...followed by their CEO, Michael, I can tell any retailer out there that you will never experience customer service and general follow through as poorly as what you will experience with MICO DESIGNS, Ltd. The lack of committment is pervasive throughout the organization, and it all starts at the top with Michael, the President. Voice mails, emails ....there is no chance they will follow up with you. Do not waste your time and energy.

My issue was simply one of needing a new diverter valve as the original was leaking and created damage in my ceiling on the floor below. Besides being completely unwilling to supply a replacement part free of charge (they charged me $200 for the new part) even though I provided a proof of purchase from the local supply store, they ended up sending a "newly designed valve" which of course does not meet our needs. So now we are "S.O.L." 

Interestingly enough, the local supply store, Keller Supply in Metairie LA, no longer carries Mico products for the same reasons I explain above. So once again, retailers- STAY AWAY FROM MICO!
