Quoted $83 and change for oil change using Mobil one synthetic oil. This quote was based on 4 quarts oil. Mechanic said car needed 6 quarts (that's a first), making total $124 & change. The breakdown is Midas charged $16.99 per quart of Mobil 1. Midas agent did knock off $10 from total. Can get Mobil 1 oil change at a Terrible Herbst and pay in the low to mid $50s. Advantage of synthetic oil is that a car can go for much longer intervals between oil changes.

Please give us Year, Make, Model, and engine size. This will provide information needed to figure out if they sold you too much oil. The price is very high anyway. I charge $54.95 for a Valvoline Synthetic Oil change at my shop. It's a very good investment. As you know, you'll get better fuel economy, and the engine will last longer.
