This place us awful, and I will never be shopping here again. My husband got me a beautiful citrune ring for Christmas 3 months ago for me to remember my father by (he died in 5/2012 when I was 8 months pregnant).

Well, the stone fell out over the weekend, so we went in to the store yesterday. The very b*tchy and unprofessional so-called manager tried to blame it in me for a bent setting, which I am sure I would have recalled if my ring caught on something.

Now I am being told that their warrantee doesn't cover a replacement, when I was told that my ring has a lifetime guarantee and to bring it back if anything ever happens. I was never given a copy of what their warrantee entails, so I don't know how they can enforce it when they don't provide a copy of said warrantee to their customers.

She had just told us it was like buying tires, which was very rude and unprofessional. I have never bought tires. Then I was told I should have had insurance, when I was never educated about insurance either. Now they currently have what is left of my ring.

I expect it to be replaced as it was not my fault it came apart, and I would hope they would want to do right by their customers. If not, we will be contacting local agencies to report them for their unprofessional conduct and misrepresentation to the consumer.

David M. here, again

Gerry,  master jeweler and third generation jeweler, was not present in the store on Monday, when this unfortunate situation occured. I will offer no further comments or responses.

The client's ring is being placed back in its original condition, at no expense whatsoever.

Thank you, again, for the opportunity to address this situation.

Seriously?

I find it disturbing and insulting that I am basically being told that I am lying about what happened. Your sales manager fought with me and my husband, got all defensive, and tried to come up with reasons why it was my fault that my citrine came out. They even called extra security while we were there. Gerry was very responsive and understanding. We appreciate him reaching out to us with the resultion.

Your sales manager only offered to speak with Gerry after we got incredibly upset and offended by her reponses. Her service was awful amd unprofessional. We will be back to get the ring when it is complete, but will no longer be customers after that. By the way, my husband and mother were also there and could give you the same accounts of what happened and how she treated us.

Greetings. My name is David M., and I am the Director of Milanj Diamonds. I am responding to this individual's highly inaccurate portrayal of what took place within our store. Please note, as I will state later, that I believe steadfastly it is not what we think we have said, but what the listener hears.

Our store's Sales Manager assisted this client, as she brought in a ring that was missing the round, natural citrine Quartz, it had upon its purchase this past holiday season.

Milanj Diamonds fully guarantees for life, along with the plethora of designers we are proud to partner with, the jewelry to be free of all defects in manufacture or fabrication. Again, that is for the life of the piece of fine jewelry.

Our associate, not being certain the loss of the citrine was due to make or manufacture, asked to confer with one of our master jewelers, further, a third generation jeweler, to evaluate the loss. We would then let the client know what we could do to best serve them.

We spoke with the client Tuesday afternoon, early afternoon, to let them know we would not only be replacing the natural citrine at no expense to them, but would be refinishing the ring additionally, as a courtesy to them, for the inconvenience they have been caused.

One could say our Sales Manager should have decided to replace the citrine immediately; that could be bantered for some time. But to politely request to confer with someone more versed in said repair, and to ultimately make the correct decision in replacing the gemstone for free, has not committed "unprofessional conduct", but, in fact, sound, good sense.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
