Well I payed $295.00 dollars, the day Model Search America called me letting me know that I was chosen to a participant in their contest for 100,000.00 dollars worth of modeling contracts. So I was excited thinking I'm going to get my big break and went ahead and made the payment. Model Search America said that I will get a letter in the mail once they recieved the payment. Which they did because I checked the bank and it was withdrawn from my account. I never got a letter when I tried to call them to get my money back. The number didn't work. So now I'm pissed off not knowing where my money is when I could of got that money back to pay bills.

I was ripped off bad. I did not deserve this. Why haven't the Florida authorities gone after these people! They keep on letting them get away with this here in Florida like they did with the Trans Continental Talent, Inc. Tctalent, Tc Talent, Emodel, E-model Aka Wilhelmina Scouting Network, all a rip-off to Floridian consumers.

Sincerely Yours

Greg

Hey Greg,
I had to quote you. Guess who some of the people that are running the Model Search America Scam are? Former Transcontinental Talent, etc. people.
They are like cockroaches. Hard to kill.

Model Search America WAS previously owned by someone else and I do believe that the Gov't did shut them down.
Somehow some of the former TCT, etc. people got involved and have taken it over.
I dont know why they are allowed to operate.
It doesnt make much sense.
I have also heard that the owner of "Glamour Shots" is involved in the scam or at least was at one point in time.

In the future do not pay ANYONE any up front fees under any circumstances.
And never give out your bank information so that they can deduct payments from your account.

NEVER DO THAT!

I remember when TCT did that.

Some very shady stuff was going on w/ that.

From what you posted it sounds like you lost some money to TCT, ect. too.
Why on earth would you get involved in a situation like this again and give money to MSA?
No offense honey, but it is the people like you that are making these people rich.
And they are so rich. They make a killing.

You and your daughter are both beautiful.
Look in the phone book, send some pics to agencies, and get yourself representation at a legitimate agency that does not charge up front fees.

All Model Search America would have done is marketed you to agencies by having you walk in front of "the top agents in the world" at a convention/ compettion in hopes that one would sign you.

You can market yourself to agencies on your own by sending pics.

By the way, I have been one of the "top agents in the world" at similar events and I am not really one of the top agents in the world.

It's all a scam.

When there is a "top agency" name present it is never anyone important from that agency.

Just the lowest booking agent or an intern.

The top agents in the world are busy, they have better things to do.

And the last time that I judged an event like this the "top agent" sitting next to me played video games on his cell phone the whole entire time. He never raised his eyes once to look at any of the people who had paid to have us watch them. I was at least attentive to the participants.

But realize that this is what is going on.
You are paying to have us watch you walk down a ramp, and we are not important people like you have been told and 99% of us do not care.

We only go b/c they pay us well to go and sometimes you get a free vacation to an exotic location.

No one cares about the models that are participating for the most part, they are all viewed as suckers.

There are no special requirements that you have to meet to be allowed to participate other then having the money to pay. No matter what they tell you. They set it all up to make it seem like it's a huge honor to be selected. But everyone is selected. If you have the money, you are in.
No other qualifications.

This is another reason why real "top agents" would never bother attending in hopes of discovering fantastic new talent. Most of the participants are not really model material, they are a waste of time. They just handed over their money, that's why they are there.

All the "top agents" at these events know that out of the 300- 3000 participants that they will be lucky to find one or two good models out of the bunch.

Yes there are some success stories and discoveries made. I have seen people go far after participating in events like this.
But those success stories are rare. There are trillions of "unsuccess" stories.

I would compare it to playing the lottery.

And just so you know, I have also quit doing anything that has to do with anything like this.

I feel so bad for you and everyone else.

I am sorry that MSA got your money. And from what it sounds like, TCT too.

I am also sorry to say that you will have a very difficult time getting it back.

These people are tricky and they have amazing lawers.

You need to watch and pay attention to what you sign.

Good luck in the future.

I'm sure you have learned a lesson by now.
Never put yourself in a situation like this again.

PS the TCT, ect. people did not just rip off the consumers of Florida.
They ripped people off all the way to Shanghai.
Literally. All the way to China. It was a global scam.

For future refrence in 30 days you can do a charge back through your bank and they are required to give it to you in most cases. Also, the FTC has gotten some people's money back file a report with them.

You and the girl are both adorable, don't give up on your acting career, never pay for anything except pictures but only with an agency that has proof of their models on national magazines. agencies that only let you use their photogrpahers are just hiring friends and are ripping you off. A real agency knows that there are good photographers in any town.
