Monro Muffler/Brake Service How did you forget the oil during an OIL CHANGE???? Harrisburg Pennsylvania

My wife and I took our car to Monro to have an oil change on April 23rd, 2009. We went to the Monro dealer located at 3320 Walnut Street in Harrisburg PA and paid them to do the oil change. On May 25th, 2009 and approximately 1,800 miles later our engine is making a loud noise almost like a machine gun...we check the oil and lo and behold there is no oil on the dip stick....4 quarts of oil later we have the proper amount of oil in the vehicle...however the damage was done and our engine is wasted...

I immediately call Tim at the Monro dealer that we took it to and tell him the situation...he has the car towed in at their expense to the Walnut Street garage at about 10:30 am on the 27th of May,2009...I had to call Tim several times in order to find out what was going on, to which I was told I am looking at the vehicle and will get back to you. Finally Tim calls and gives me the news that I already knew was coming...the problem was not due to them not putting the oil in the vehicle after the oil change but rather my vehicle was burning 4 quarts of oil through the engine....wow I must of missed all the smoke that would be pouring out the back of my exhaust and the loud tapping noise that my engine would have been making because of using all that oil as well as all the oil that would have gone into my anti-freeze...thats because none of that occurred...

this is a blantant and wonton act of negligence on their part and repeated calls to the District Manager have gone un-answered and never returned...and heres the kicker they want me to pay the 58 dollar towing bill before they will release my vehicle so that I can have another garage do a tear down and diagnostic evaluation on the vehicle...I am to take their word that it is not there fault and because of that I am to pay ....yeah right!!!!
